Greetings from Sarasota. Anyway, I used to go to Colombia fairly frequently on business so I can offer a few quick comments. Firstly, pay for play is pretty much legal and not frowned upon. Best city to go to in my opinion is Medellin. It is a clean, modern city with great weather. As far as safety it is pretty safe as long as you are not stupid (don't go wandering around drunk and leave the Rolex at home). Nicest area to stay, especially if you don't speak Spanish, in my opinion is Pablado. Lots of nice hotels, restaurants and clubs. Spanish is a huge plus if you are trying to get together with civilian girls, but the pay for play gals know what you are looking for. It has been a couple of years since I was there and the good places to go change frequently. Ask the friendly guy at your hotel desk (most speak fluent English). Often he can set you up with an UTR gal or tell you where to get what you are looking for. Or ask a cabbie that works the hotel you stay at. If you don't speak Spanish I would avoid asking a roaming cab for recommendations just to be on the safe side. If you do speak Spanish it is amazing how easy it is to pick up a cutie at a regular club. Often they do a little discreet business on the side of their regular job. Dress is not as casual as it is in FL so pressed trousers, buttoned shirt and polished shoes go a long way esp if you are trying to find a civilian. Dress is more casual in Cartagena. Cali is also good as is Cartegena. Bogota has plenty but it is a big city, not as clean and often the weather is crappy. But the same basic rules or hints apply. If you go you will be spoiled compared to the local talent in SW FL. Have fun!
