Since we starting discussing burner phones and the multi layers in the last couple of post, I thought I would post this here. Found it on another tread, but it is fitting for the fellas here as well. This is why I pay the money for a good VPN and highly suggest it.

STG doesn't allow you to access their site from a VPN. I normally access it from my burner phone over a free Wi-Fi, but after this article, I'm going to reassess that. Might have to just rely on the other sites where I can use my VPN. I don't see them investing that much money and resources into a prostitution case, but with all the rhetoric over human trafficking, who knows. I don't want to do any fear mongering here, but just thought I'd share. Stay safe out there.

I dunno, perhaps I have a different experience? Mostly surf STG from a 'puter and run a VPN along with Tor Browser. Probably overkill? There are times when one gets the "can't access the site" screen from STG. But at that point, I just 'bounce' the server chain / circuit in Tor a few times until I get access. I figure bouncing my traffic over 4 nodes before it gets to a site is decent protection.

With the burner I always have Orbot running in the background. I use IPChicken to check my IP addy before & after using the VPN & browser to make sure I know what is facing forward. Have not had problems connecting to STG on the burner, but not with Tor, just a regular browser. Delete history & cookies every time I leave the browser. I prefer the multi-level protective approach that the 'puter affords.

Now all of that said, not sure of the protection if one is using wifi from a stationary source?
