I've only been to EB once since they instituted this policy, and that was to confirm that what I'd heard is true (and it was). I, too, used to go to EB and drop a couple hundred between LDs, stage tips, and drinks for myself and occasionally a dancer. It's a slap in the face that they tax you on the way in with a cover charge, and then again every time you want to take a girl into the LD area. I would think they would do better to charge the girls a portion of the first dance each time she went in with a new customer, and then if she kept the guy in there with her "feminine wiles" she would keep the rest.

I'm tempted to stop in again when I'm in the mood to see some naked girls and only have a beer and tip at the stage and let the girls know that I'm boycotting the LD area because it's not worth it with the house tax. Perhaps with the more enterprising ones suggesting that if she were to pick up the entry fee while doing a good enough job to keep me there for multiple songs, she could make some money on me. Netting. 80 is better than netting 0. Might work on a slow night. Anyone try this tactic?

I used to drop into the EB every 6-12 months with a buddy of mine. We would typically spend a few hours, drop anywhere from 100-300 each and then grab a bite -- a bit of good fun overall!

I had not been for over a year this time and was surprised at being asked to pay $20 on top of the dance fees for the LD room. However, when I asked the girl if it was just on the first entry, she said that it was. Imagine my surprise when I was asked by my 2nd LD partner. She seemed to agree when I said I had already paid. The 3rd LD partner got all upset and demanded that I pay. Fortunately I was already tapped out, but mostly I had trouble understanding what kind of idiot would make that kind of policy. The reason I like strip clubs once in a while is to sample a number of different women. So now I get financially penalized for doing so? Not sure I understand to logic, especially as I will not go back as long as that policy is in place.

When the new owners took over, they left that policy in place. Now that those owners couldn't keep up with their payments, and EB has bought the place again, they're renaming it the Crystal Blue.

Didn't know the Willimantic club was opwning again.

What I do know is that all the BS at Blue started because the owner lost a lot of money on the Willimantic club. He staryed freaking out over finances and started trying to get more money out of Blue by implementing the higher fees, etc. I wasn't aware thay he had sold the Willimantic club or that he was trying to restart it though.
