Read the language of the article carefully and notice how there is no mention of an undercover actually being propositioned. The article does however mention the following:

"surveillance and the identification of possible patrons" and "police served a search and seizure warrant"

Words on a message board from anonymous sources are not enough to obtain a search warrant. This suggests that one of the "patrons" was flipped and possibly coerced into providing testimony of prostitution. Who knows, maybe LE got someone on a DUI charge as they were leaving and agreed to drop the charges in exchange for their testimony. An alternate theory, is that LE was able to obtain a search warrant for whatever reason and they caught someone in the act but in that scenario you would have expected to see at least one patron arrested.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Whatever is being reported by both papers definitely isn't the entire story. I think your first scenerio is probably the most likely. I can totally see them while watching the place run the plates of one of the guys that entered and seeing that he was either suspended, expired, or unregistered, pulled him over after he left (probable cause) , and then cutting him a break on the motor vehicle violations in exchange for intel on the happenings inside of the place.

Of course, that's just my imagination working overtime. When they presented a warrant request to a judge, there had to be some sort of investigation they presented to him / her. Of course, constitutional rights usually aren't even considered when some "good press" can come out of throwing the words "human trafficing" out there, even if there isn't a shred of evidence to the contrary.
