I never go in with credit cards. Guy did the right thing. I would have made anonymous call, but I guess cops would have identified him assuming guy and girl still had card. Imagine charges will get dropped or minimal fine, the real consequence imo is not financial but having your name in paper.

You're totally correct and I've posted that same link which I discovered many years ago.

No matter how much the cops cajole or threaten you with anything, never talk. Everything you say will be written down and used against you, never for you as it's considered hearsay.
