I always thought that asking an undercover cop if they were a LEO or not was the stupidest test, but enough providers use that technique that made me curious. I actually looked up the law and it is absolutely 100 percent not true that LEOs have to tell you they are LEOs if asked. That would defeat the entire purpose of being undercover.
