That bond seems extremely high, unless the prostitute was a Minor. They just changed the law to increase bond on murder from 150 k. So two low level misdemeanors are 100 k? Also by reading the article, it appears the act was solicited and completed. So I suspect they caught the girl after the act and found evidence of transaction (texts, notes something) and probably a confession by both parties. What evidence do they have? A cash app transaction? A check with sexual services in the memo? Highly highly unlikely the police would send a undercover to a private residence. And again it reads like two crimes were committed solicitation of the act and actual completion of act. Most stings the police can only charge is attempting, loitering or pandering. As always more information is needed and if you are ever contacted by the police shut up! Every word you say gets you closer and closer to handcuffs / ticket.

For the life of me I don't understand sending money that can be traced to you, or stolen. Neither does sending a picture that can be googled, used for blackmail, or confirmation of your request of a prostitute.

This is why deposits are a bad idea on top the being scammed you literally linked your bank account to the texts or calls. Might as well ask them for a receipt for tax purposes.
