They do that during election season. I think that technically strip clubs in Alabama can't sell alcohol if nipples are exposed or something like that. It's a stupid law. Since politicians like to 'clean house' during election season, the clubs require the dancers to wear pasties.

Anyone been to the furnace recently? The girls are now covering the nipples with stickers even in the VIP, some new Alabama rule. That sucks!!

I haven't been able to get by the Furnace in a long time, got to be 6 months or more at this point, but I've been to Sammy's a few times over the last couple months and it's the same thing there. They go through phases around here of requiring them then they slowly fade away again for some period of time then show back up again. This is an election year after all. I'm sure everybody's guard is up for whatever puritanical hell will follow the elections this time.

Thanks for the update. Do you know how long it usually takes for rules like that to fade over? And do you know anything about extras here at Sammy's or the furnace?

How the hell can a city the size of Birmingham not have a single place in town to go see some titties in the afternoon? This Bible Belt living is really for the birds. And getting worse.

Strip clubs in B'ham have been going downhill since the late 90's. Used to there were 2 Sammy's, The Den (formerly Lyn's Den), The Playlate Club, Charlies, Crossroads (of Al's Crossroads fame).

With the rise of the Evangelical bible thumping wackos, the Moral Majority, and so called christian conservatives; combined with the rise of the internet and internet escorting, guys have just quit going to strip clubs because they're afraid someone will see them and tattle, or they can get what they want without the song, dance, and maybes that go along with strip clubs via the internet. Pretty much the same story for AMP's.

Last time I walked in Sammy's it was about 5:00 pm and there was only 1 other customer inside the club and maybe a couple more out on the smoking patio. There was only one dancer (a black BBW) and she was just milling around and talking. She asked about a ladies drink and the bartender told me it was going to be something like $20 or $30 (an outrageous price anyway). I declined, looked at my watch, and said whoa where did the time go, I got to run. And I left. I think I left her with about $13 that I had left from breaking a $20 for a beer.

I found myself in Gadsden one day last week and can confirm there were no Furnace girls at Gentleman's Club when I stopped by. Had a decent time though. Beer was cold. Place still absolutely reeks of smoke.

I can confirm that, yes, the beer is really cold.

I stopped in a few weeks back one afternoon on the way to somewhere else. I had limited time, and much of it was wasted by "Belladonna," a self described "Goth Chick" who spent half an hour chatting about herself to me non-stop. I was able to catch "Heather," a veteran dancer, who put on a stage show with bananas. She was a hoot, and I wish that I had more time to chat with her. Maybe on another trip.

Looks like in almost a year and no new post. I know COVID hit the area hard and apparently new rules are in affect starting this year for get dancer permits / licenses (felony / criminal background check). Anyway not much else has changed. A lot of the Furnace girls are back at Sammy's now. Sammy's has has remodeled and some new management. From what I understand a lot of girls make the trip to Gadsden where no permit or documents are needed. I hear good stories of takeout and dine-in at the Gentleman's Club and Foxy's (Walnut Cove? Huntsville is a bit of a drive and they don't serve alcohol which is almost a deal breaker for me. The holiday might drawer so new dancers in or back in.

I wish this new Sammy's management would open it back up in the afternoons like pre-covid. It used to be a good spot for a long lunch for me. I've hit the furnace up a few times over the past 5 or 6 months but nothing to write home about. Pretty much the same as always mileage wise. Beer is still cold at least.

Foxy's is in Walnut Grove. It's location is near the Etowah County line on Hwy 278. Check the Gadsden Strip Club Reports for it. It's been a while, but when I went there was nothing there but old guys drinking and talking, 1 chick in street clothes that was drinking and talking with them and would occasionally pull her top up when they bought her a drink, and 1 chick working as bartender. The only dancing entertainment (if you want to call it that) was some old dude dancing around to an old Johnny Cash song while playing the spoons.

Now THAT'S entertainment! LOL.
