Thought I was finally going to get to see GGW yesterday, but got a message (with plenty of notice) that it would have to be another day. One of these days it will happen! In preface, let me say this isn't a rip on anyone at all, just an observation. Certainly, the frustration described below is understandable, and I doubt there's a guy here that can't empathize. I've never been one to shy away from slamming someone for wasting my time either. Being flaked on is disappointing at best, maddening at worst. The shame of it is that the time could have been spent with someone that wants to see the guy who was flaked upon, and the girl flaking on him probably loses some potential meetings from the reputation of being a flake as well. Nobody wins.

That said, nearly every provider and certainly most guys have flaked from time to time. I've had to cancel on women in the past due to unforseen circumstances, though never without a call or text to inform them, and usually with plenty of time to not truly have wasted their time. But remember, the guys on these forums are not the only guys contacting and setting appts with these providers. They get all sorts of toe-dippers, probably many more than ever read or post on these forums, and many if not most of them are clueless. The percentage of those guys flaking on them has to be much higher than we can imagine. And those no-shows represent actual lost revenue to the women, not just simple frustration. So it's easy to see how they can often lose touch with our perspective. Sort of a, "It happens all the time to me (them), so what's the big deal?" mentality.

One of my past ATF's was the worst as far as reliability. Tremendousl Flake (capital F intended). If I think back to all the time I spent sitting in a car waiting for her well after the agreed upon time had past, the hours were several multiples of time actually spent BCD with her. If she made up all of that lost time with freebies, she'd have to move in with me for the next few years to finally get ahead. But something clicked when I did actually get inside the room with her, and she had a way of making me forget the irritation, even if only while in her presence. Was it worth the hassles? Probably not according to logic, but then, not much about hobbying is logical anyway.

So, this is more a message to new guys than to the experienced, who likely know all this anyway. This is not a hobby for the faint of heart or those short on patience. Between researching, checking reviews, seeking verification, getting burned, being flaked on and actually getting in BCD's, it's a full time job, practically. Continue to report the inconsiderate, take the reports of others into consideration, and keep moving forward. It's a hobby I look back on favorably from time to time, and yet miss little when I'm reminded of how frustrating it can be.

So I'll throw my story on here as well since she's back to her old games. Yep, it's great when you see her, but there in lines the problem. Actually seeing her. Gentleman, I have been a player for a long time, but been on the sidelines for awhile and rarely venture into new territory.
