Reading all this reports, what to do not getting arrested for a massage?

My bad. I meant the Palms. I get the two mixed up. Both slightly off-strip, similar-crowd places.

Note that this had to due with behavior in the nite club, by the host / manager selling substances.

This is not the normal interaction of the casino girl pick ups that 99% of the guys do. Rx from management is one thing the gaming people and LE will not tolerate, in the open.

Prior to the late 80's, casino hosts for certain high rollers would provide girls, but when Rx got involved, combined with the Corporate take over of the hotels, that pretty much stopped. So they tolerate the independents in if they behave. Of course, in the 50/60/70, when the mob ran things the hosts would provide whatever you liked, if you dropped the dough at the tables.

I am too old for the club scene, but I understand that with tables and bottles selling for high hundreds, and the staff on percentages and tips, they do a lot to provide service. However, as De Nero says, room service comes on Tuesday.

On the contrary, vice does do operations on the casino floor. I know for a fact because I see it all the time. But in all the times they conducted their sweeps I've only seen them bring back one john. Most of the time its just the girls though.

Yup, I've never seen a non-hooker arrested by a cop dressed like a hooker on the floor. Too much distraction and noise for conviction in court. The girls never fight the charges because they have nothing to lose. A client has lots to lose so theyd usually fight it. Easy out most of the time with a half assed lawyer unless you are dumb enough to clearly and loudly say "I would like to pay you cash money in trade for sex. '. Cops will normally drop a scare on you then let you go if you have no priors.

I am in vegas 5-7 times a year. Have been for a LONG time.

I have to agree. Usually when stings like this happen LEO works with the management, sets up cameras and wires in a room, and brings girls up so they can arrest them in private. Arresting someone on the casino floor causes a huge disturbance at the very least and could cause mass panic if people don't know what's going on. LE isn't stupid, they know the casinos pay most of their salaries and the last thing they want to do is hurt a casino's bottom line by causing a commotion. These girls must have been notorious trick rollers or have some kind of history of violence to justify an unannounced public arrest like this.

I just find it hard to believe that the MGM (or any casino) would allow undercovers to police inside the casino for what would amount to a misdemeanor prostitution charge. One wrong move and chips could be flying around, weapons could be brandished, bystanders could be injured. One thing the casinos don't want messed with is their bottom line and the aforementioned scenarios would not bode well. If anyone has any information on this or has seen similar occurring please post.

Good question. But I and my pal got 'hit' for services about 30 seconds before the arrest. They were trolling.

I think it was random because mgm security basically told the cop to get his hands off the girl. Then realized it was a cop. I actually talked to the cops partner as he went back into hiding. Told him looks like unlce leo is here, be careful, brother. (he had his ear piece falling off because of all the fuss.) All I got was a glare. I smiled.

I'll be honest, as long as they're going after pros I'm not all that concerned. Las Vegas goes out of its way to NOT arrests tourists.
