Was on the news today that Trop crackdown was part of "operation Derail" ongoing since June. They have businesses involved as well. Seems they recovered an 11 yo being trafficked which prompted the crackdown. Seems like it would be ongoing and may spread to other corridors. They also mentioned utilizing the internet and sites like CL and Backpage to step up their enforcement.

It got my name wrong and I wasn't looking for insurance, I don't get telemarketing calls on my cell. The guy wanted to know my address and plate number and sounded unprofessional or unfriendly. I've posted these two points in other threads, but I think instead of having a female cop put in danger they get a parolee to do some "community service" and act as informants. Also, in some of my astute observations I can all but assure you that LVMP probably owns more unmarked vehicles than marked ones. There are tons of unmarked Ford products out there. Look for heavy tires and blacked out windows, but with normal plates. Also I do believe there are some run of the mill passenger cars like civics and camrys out there with undercover cops in them. Just be sper careful. You never know when your regular is going to get busted and then use you as an easy mark for some probation time.
