On Wilshire about a block west of Barendo maybe 4 blocks west of vermont there is a decent place with lots of cute girls, on the second floor in a strip mall. Also try on 6th street in the same area. Found a place with super hot babes.

There are tons of Korean bars and nightclubs in that area, you are right about that. I worked in the area for a few years and it was years ago. A few times I'd walk into one of these places at lunch time or after work with a friend or even a girlfriend, and we'd get the "what you doing here white people?" stare. We would be served without any problem but we knew we were drawing the kind of attention you don't want. However, I have had much worse of this kind of treatment when I've sampled a joint or two in the San Gabriel Valley - PUBLIC places where we were in one way or another, asked to leave.

Btw, this was years ago and the experience is limited - don't think I'm making any kind of authoritative comment on this. I hope you give it a try and let us know what your research revealed because there are some smashing K-Girls to be found in these places. If you or Sneaky Fred happen to be K-Men, then never mind!

Anybody know of any Korean bars in Koreatown? Not looking for a hostess bclub where I have to pay a girl to sit with me and buy a $500 bottle of champagne, just a place where I can grab a beer, maybe meet a local k-girl, then be on my way.
