Uh, so I got dragged to this place Gaku with my friend. It's in Gardena. I know, I know, not LA, it's South Bay, whatever.

Not the doumi experience, not the hostess bar where you sit across from them, they sit with you and sing with you and you buy them drinks. Doumis are pretty expensive at NRB, plus they drink and eat your shit. These chicks though, the 3 hostess I saw at Gaku were fucking 9's or 10's. They were fun and while I wasn't the only person talking to them because my friend said it's usually reservation only, I was able to talk banter with everyone (I was also hammered and singing everything they told me to sing), but wow those girls were hot as all hell. Definitely looked like not much was going on between the guys and girls though even though they were sitting near each other it didn't seem flirty like some doumis make it.

Just FYI. Again, probably a long and stupid expensive shot to land one, but damn they were fine.

Thinking of checking this place out its on 3rd st. Any Reports? Has good Korean reviews on google.

I've talked to several doumi girls about this and many of them have said their driver makes Recital their first stop. In terms of selection, Recital is generally the better choice.

However, some girls have said they don't like the guys at Recital. Bottle prices are slightly more than other karaoke spots, guys are more aggressive. Some girls have said they don't make their rounds at Recital and prefer other spots because guys are nicer.

Generally the quality of girls have gone down. Lot of 5's and 6's that think they are 9's and 10's. You might find that one Diamond but most girls I wouldn't want to pay to sit them next to me.

Agreed. Recital has the best selection, especially earlier into the night. I too have the same problem with paralysis in analysis. Too many good ones to commit early.

While recital is definitely more strict, I feel like the doumis generally stop there first and have always had really good selections, in terms of looks. Almost to the point where I didn't pick one because I wanted to keep seeing the rest that came in. Of course, this was preCOVID.

I went to Pharaoh a couple weeks ago and for my non Korean ass, it was "I need to call the girls in, they can't call", even though my group probably spent 2 k there that night.
