As a former newspaper editor, I just want to ask: Exactly what does this whole section here add to the story, and why couldn't you just leave it out? So you left your cell behind. Doesn't matter. So you turned the wrong way. Doesn't matter!

I accidentally left my phone in the guys car that dropped me at the entrance. Up the elevator I went, headed towards room 302. When I stepped off the elevator, I went the wrong way, as this particular hotel is circular, and it is hard to tell which way to go upon exiting the elevator. "Oh silly me, " (slapping my self on the head, I turned around to head the right way. "304."

I saw a couple of women and men heading out. I thought to myself, "Oh darn, I am too late, he is already on his way to dinner with his business assoc, I won't embarrass him or I, I'll just walk right past as if I am headed somewhere else.

I don't think I've ever been stopped by a police officer, but I did get a serious scare recently. I was driving around the track looking for a good time, when I noticed a cop car behind me. I kept cool and drove towards the freeway until he stopped following me, but then I noticed another vehicle following me, which I suspected was an unmarked car. So I made my daring escape towards the freeway.

I know that they could have pulled me over and charged me with the bullshit "driving around looking to solicit prostitution charge," so I am wondering about what my options are in such a situation?(Or if they catch me in the act somehow by picking up an undercover cop).

Should I just pull over, follow their instructions, and tell them that I have nothing to say without a lawyer present?

The essential thing to remember is that the police are questioning you to gather evidence for a arrest or to build a stronger case against you if they have arrested you. Just watch Cops TV or some other reality based police show and you see how many people implicate themselves when LE had no insufficient evidence against them.

I find it interesting that statements can only be used against you and are treated as hearsay if you defense attorney questions the officer about it. So don't let yourself be intimidated by the police into talking. Just simply say nothing or tell them you are going to remain silent.

To all free-thinking people who care about freedom: Please, if you ever get called in for Jury Duty, GO AND PARTICIPATE. Keep quiet, kiss ass, tell them what they want to hear, then at the end of the trial, return a NOT GUILTY VERDICT. Good luck with that one in Alabama. They will be pulling it out of you when they do the colonoscopy looking for drugs, like they did the guy in Deming, NM.

I would like to add one thing to this thread that is also state dependent. Don't go mongering with illegal drugs in the car. It must be tempting to some people to carry some weed or party favors along in case the date turns into a party, but that will turn a simple stop to harass you into a ride to jail

I personally hate being asked if I enjoy / like Party Favors because they ruin dates. I don't mind exchanges every once in awhile from a regular in a bind for flowers. However with all that being said, I do believe fun of that nature is trouble during travels, and not recommended.

All of these laws are state dependent. Just try no showing I'd in Florida. The no search result in drug sniffing dogs being called out while you are detained and if they don't find anything they will plant something. I do agree with staying quiet.

Thanks for the videos. Thankfully I've never encountered any issues with LEO and I certainly don't plan to in the future. At least these videos give me a good idea of what to do. And equally importantly, what NOT to do. The biggest piece of advice I've seen given by a great many people has been keep quiet. Just like they say when reading you your Miranda rights, anything you say can and will be used against you. Best to keep quiet. Don't even lie because that can get you in even more trouble. Ask for your lawyer and don't give them squat until he (or she) arrives.

And if your lawyer is a she, good for you. Hopefully your banging that, mostly because that's one of my fantasies / goals in the long term: the.
