Are there any new monger phones people recommend? Or is Jon's advice still the gold standard?

    Thanks!
    Google voice or textnow.

Some offer voice calls that can be made thru the text app, tho I've never attempted that so I can't speak to the quality.
There are several apps that allow texts and calls for free. Call quality may not be as solid as your actual phone, most times, but will get the job done.

I've been using the "Burner" app on my regular phone.

Pretty much you can stay under the radar with a prepaid but its not completely guaranteed if the want to track you down they can.

    Best of luck.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I thought it would be more appropriate than starting a new one.

I've been a long time lurker of this forum, but I'm relatively new to this hobby. I've always wanted to get into it, but wasn't too sure if the Uncle LEO factor was worth the risk. After trying it out in the UK and Germany (since it's legal), I'm now hooked, and would like to get started here back home.

Which carrier would you recommend for a monger phone? Is it necessary if I don't have a SO that would find out? Should I get one just in case I get robbed? Would it be unsafe to get a cheap smartphone that can run apps like Uber (I live in the city and commute via the T so I don't drive) which would have personally identifiable info?

    Thanks in advance!

Always call from the monger phone. I have been in the situation that a guy answer the phone and then give the phone to the girl, I guess is an intimidation tactic.

That being said, I would be cautious.
It's equally likely it's her pimps phone.

    Stay safe, and happy hunting.

Cellphones are part of the mongering toolkit. I would recommend a disposable cell phone for your hobbyist activities.

Jackson, a thread about mongering toolkits and how guys cope would be interesting

She's usually a bit nosy, but she doesn't seem to mind not having to hassle with a phone bill.

    Hi Shooter6,

So tell me, how exactly does this justify an entirely new thread?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
