That's what I've used for years now. I've tried a burner phone, but you have to keep it hid and only bring out when needed. With Textnow, I can delete the app if not needed then just download it again and all my numbers, calls and texts are still there to see. I have 5 different numbers I can choose from with different area codes that I use when they are local. I sign out of one and into the other as needed. I keep one number for my regulars and use other numbers on providers I'm not sure about, or seem like they may be LEO. I've used the different numbers to catch providers in lies and to check if they double book, etc.

OK, I need to get rid of my burner phone. So,
