Although I have not been to Beardstown since before I got into the hobby. FYI people who have no clue Beardstown is a small town on the Illinois River downstream from Peoria. I have noticed that going to a number of towns of similar size that finding anything in any town of less than about 20k in Illinois is pure luck. Unless they area suburb of a bigger city. From reading things on here I have seen nothing to dispute this notiton. I have gotten lucky once in LaSalle- Peru and regularly pass through the area where I did get lucky at least a couple times a week.

Last summer I was passing through Henry north of Peoria and stopped at the Casey's to use the john and grap a drink. There was a busty little spinner on the pay phone with short shorts and a t shirt that had stick figure people in every conceivable sex position. The shirt had a caption that read "Many Positions Available, Apply Within". I was making some calls and checking my e-mail in my car and had made eye contact with her a few times while she was on the phone.

When she was done she was kind of hanging around smoking. I got out of my car and approached her and told her I really liked her shirt and wanted to apply for "that position" pointing to one of stick chick on her knees giving head. She got real paranoid, asked me if I was from DCFS, a parole officer, ATF, telling me that "around here suits, means trouble". After assuring here I was just a sales guy, she told me to get in my car and pull my dick out. After doing this she said "I'll blow ya fer twenty, but ya got ta wear a rubber. "

I drove her to where she was staying, a dumpy smelly little house a couple of blocks from Casey's and got the deed done. When finished we were talking a bit and I found out she was from Peoria and had got busted with meth and her kid was living with her Mom in Pekin, etc. Then she says "I'll fuck ya silly for that other twenty ya got. " So needles to say I dropped that on tight piece of ass. She gave me her sister's number and told me call when I was in the area. I hit it again about a month after that, then the number was out of service.

This is what made me think that there has got to be action in Beardstown.

Lived in the area for many years and never heard of anything currently happening there. The town does have a rep though, since it was wide open from the '20's thru the late 50's. Wall St. Had several houses, and the taverns next to the old train depot were also noted for girls and gambling. Believe it or not the old Virginia Country Club was the site of an active house. Learned this from a retired US Marshal who took me around and told me what used to be where.

The Capone organization had several operating interests in the area, and Al himself would show up on a frequent basis. Apparently he liked to go duck hunting and kept several boats there for that purpose.

Makes one long for the good old days, doesn't it. Perhaps with the new folks there is some hope for the future.

I grew up just on the other side of the river from Beardstown, and I never heard of anything going on there. However with the amount of illegals that have settled there and all of the illicit activity that they have brought who knows? I haven't lived in the area for about a year and a half, but the way that town is going I would think that anything is possible.
