I've been sidelined with a knee surgery for a few months and have been dying to go to TJ and get myself tuned back up and in the swing of things but I saw a report on TV a couple days ago that TJ is now the murder capital of the country, or at the very least of Baja. I have read the stories of the shakedowns by the Federalies when you don't take the HK limo and anecdotes like that. But I can't get myself in a situation where I would need to make a fast getaway and run from danger. I wouldn't be able to do it with my leg being so restrictive right now. I'm happy to be vertical at the moment and able to take stairs one at a time. Pushing 67 soon so I'm no spring chicken either. Your thoughts and ideas are welcome, I have a friend with lots of TJ experience who might go as my wingman but just don't want to end up in the "statistic's" column instead of the "happily just got laid" column. Thanks in advance for your help.

Last Sunday XE rate was 21.9:1. A cambio on San Ysidro Blvd was doing 21.3:1. Cambios in Tijuana 20.3:1. TJ cambio took 1. 6 pesos for every dollar, so for $200 I lost 320 pesos / $16 or 8%.

Debit cards are not the only one hacked. I had a checking account with the largest retail bank in US, never used its debit card, but the account was hacked for over $700 a few weeks back. I got reimbursed but closed that account.

I will get a debit card for travel that remains locked, unlocked immediately just before withdrawing then locked again with a mobile app.

I avoid using a credit or ATM card. I always take as much cash as I need. The bank ATM's are the only ones that I use in TJ.

Tuesday afternoon the number of street girls about doubled last week. There were many hot girls new to La Zona, a few hottest ones were on the East wall of hotel Garcia. I wrote their names down so I remember and look for them.

There were very few guys in La Zona. The girls were standing around the whole afternoon not doing any business, looking despondent. I felt bad for them. I approached, asked their names, pull down face masks and found them very pretty sweet, young faces, tall, fit, lanky, shapely bodies with feminine curves, natural boobs, long legs, nice, light skin. They sure looked more attractive than old, chunky girls in the bars. Gave them a few $ propinas to squeeze their boobs and grab their butts. They tried to evade but were laughing hysterically.

Looks like guys were afraid of being denied reentry and were staying home. Even the most popular girls were just hanging out doing no or very little business until the sun started to fade. I felt sad for the girls and all of us in this pandemic disaster.

OTOH the streets had about 60 girls, younger than HK girls, some looked very attractive, tall, lanky, pretty faces, long legs, sexy curves.

Maribel at hotel Garcia is pretty, tall, lanky, sexy. She wants 700 pesos to do. Arianna nearby wants 500. Sides in front of Lira parking wants 500. Petite Elizabeth at Ibiza wants 700, Camilla is back in front of Valentina.

Looks like prices went up but these hot street girls are way worth it.

The Wednesday and Sunday last week I arrived at the border about 1 PM. There were very long car lines waiting in READY lane to return to US, stretching way into downtown TJ. The car lines were still that long at 6 PM. I estimated wait time was 6 to 8 hours. It was very unusual to have car lines that long early on Wed. Also very unusual to have virtually no returning pedestrians at 6 PM on Sunday. Looks to me there are not many tourists walking into TJ nowaday. People are driving over to visit families, girl friends, personal business.

I drove back in the SENTRI lane. It stretched back to the overpass bridge. Had to wait about 10- 15 minutes. CBP agent asked me what I brought back, not what I had done in TJ, then waved me through quickly.

In the news CBP said if its agents deem the visits non-essential, they can send drivers / walkers to secondary inspection and potentially hold them for hours. So if asked, claim to visit for dental, medical appointments or buying medicines ect. Have a bottle of some medicine to show them as proof. Don't say you went to clubs or visited hos. That answer may get your ass heald and harassed in secondary inspection for a few hours.

Meanwhile business in the US are not doing any temp check or hands sanitizing. US has about 5 millions confirmed infections compared to Mexico's 500 K. So who is the bigger threat of infection?

HK is running AirCon full blast, very cool and dry inside. Tiny bars cramped with people and poor ventilation like Tropical, Adelita, Chicago, Gloria, Malquerida are hot and humid, perfect places to spread Corona Virus. It was so hot and stuffy insiede these bars it was hard to breath.

The people operating these new bars are not the original management teams, just new guys renting the hotels, bringing in boom boxes and hungry girls. They talked me into climbing 5 floors to the top of hotel Ibiza, promising dozens hot girls. They had only 6 girls, all big, flabby and ugly. The other bars were in similar situation. Only Hong Kong had a dozen girls but they look homely in their frumpy street clothes.

I have been going to La Zona every week for over a month, spending 90% of the time on the streets. Lucky I have not gottem CoVid but will further reduce my exposure in the bars.

Street girls generally assume 15-20 minutes unless you negotiate for 30 minutes. Usually that's an extra 100 pesos or so.

Bar girls assume 30 minutes. You can negotiate for longer -- amount will vary. For some girls it's an extra $20, for some it's double the base rate. Note that the short time hotel rooms are for 30 minutes. If you want a room for an hour, it's basically just double. Depending on the day and the hotel, it may be cheaper to get your own room for the night than pay for multiple rentals of a short time room.

Unfortunately here to report that I have caught the coronavirus as well. Obviously cannot pin the cause down to HK and TJ but those are the two likeliest factors.

First week of August: visit TJ and HK, spend most of my time on 7th floor. Also indulged in a couple street girls.

Second week: feel sick, painful headache, minor breathing issues.

Third week: lingering symptoms but feel mostly better by the 2nd half of the week.

It's a little different. A half hour is probably standard unless you specify the length up front.

That said, in HK and probably other clubs, you can get a lot of foreplay and roaming happening just by buying Coronas. I've made out for a half hour or so before going upstairs. I've also made out and copped feels for a couple hours with different girls for Coronas and small tips. And even upstairs, if the girl is having fun she will stick around. It is the kid that cleans the room knocking on the door that ends a session. That said, I have had girls send him away and tell him to come back later. I have also had girls that did the deed and left quickly.

It's just different.

No visa is required but they have a tourist card called an FMM. The 7-day card is free. Longer than that and you need the 180-day card, which costs $30. If you don't have a passport they may deny you entirely, or they may require you to buy the FMM. It kind of depends on who is staffing the booth and how they are feeling that day. If you do have a 180-day FMM, you can use the Mexican line rather than waiting in the foreigners line.
