I totally agree. There are many Mexicans who are so used to being overtipped by Gringos that they give shitty service to other Mexicans or Gringos who tip fairly but not stupidly. I always watch after I tip to see if the person looks appreciative or not. Those who overtip are thought of as typical rich Gringos pendejos and not as fine American gentlemen. Take for example all those Mexicans that speak some English and want to take charge and " take care of you". Usually if you resist or act like you know what you are doing they get a hair up their ass. No hard and fast rule to tipping but be generous to those appreciative and who don't see you as a chump.

So, yes, go to Tijuana, feel like a millionaire, have a blast, do it all legally, get out of there for somewhere around a hundred bucks and tip everyone (budget $10-$20 for that). Trust me, you will feel better.

But bitchin' about it probably won't get you much sympathy.

Yep that's it. I believe its referred to as ruta and there are colors to them. I was able to take it to the zona but mi amigo said from the micro-breweries back to la linea wasnt on their route.
