    Quick Visit

My first visit to Tijuana was many years ago. Then a streetwalker quoted me $100 US and I decided I could not afford it. I have gone down several times in the last two years and really enjoyed myself. Thanks to the help I received I get a good massage for $20 to $30 then two street visits from the $100 I exchanged to Pesos and still have change left from my $100 after dinner. I usually visit Hong Kong and a couple other clubs to get the battery going in between. I drive my rental to a trolly station then take the trolly to San Ysidro and back. Safer free parking than at the border. It is nice to see all the inexpensive options though I like Montreal quality better.

If you go stay out of the water and shower when you get back before eating or fucking. Just saying.

    Beach contamintion

So I may end up skipping hitting the beach area alone, and just do a day trip to the club area that I'm familiar with. If I do go down to the beach, are there and good areas to pick up women at?

I used to meet many Latinas in the pedestrian lines all the time. These days there's not much of a wait but there's always hotties around. I would just start talking to them in broken Spanish, tell them I needed help with my Spanish and then ask them the next time I'm down if they would like to go eat and drink. I've gotten chics phone numbers who spoke no English, so it can be done. Most regular girls jump at the chance to go out on your dime but it won't cost you much and you won't have to go far. The only way you'll get rejected is if they're married or you dress in sweatpants and a charger or raider jersey like the fools you see walking around in the zona. Places like las pulgas, mi chante and sanborns are spots that will impress your new friends. I even had one chica coming to stay with me at my place in EC a week after I met her in line ped west. Best of luck! Moe.

    - https://www.yelp.com/biz/las-rocas-resort-rosarito This is where I stay with a ridiculous view, and down the road from the center of action and the tacos posted above. There is a number of girl clubs leading to the resort as well if you need a chica close to home.

I can go on with food, desserts, coffee, and spots of interest. If you need anything more, just PM me and ill do what I can to make a few suggestions.

I was originally planning on going up to Yosemite during the 4th with some friends, but my friend's RV is having some engine problems. So we may not end up going now. So now I'm thinking of making another solo trip down to TJ. I've only really been down in the Zone Norte area, but I want to start exploring outside of that now. How is the beach action down in TJ? Is it relatively safe area for someone solo? Any good hot spots to visit, or places I should flat out avoid? Or is the whole beach area to sketchy and unsafe to visit alone?

    - https://www.yelp.com/biz/telef%C3%B3...osq=telefonica Great spot with a diverse mix of food you can't go wrong with not far from the Zona. You can search it on Youtube and see lots of into on the spot.

    - https://www.yelp.com/biz/das-cortez-tijuana My home base coffee shop when I cross the border to use my laptop for email, and additional searching and information. Off street parking and friendly people make this welcoming spot for me.

    - https://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-el-ya...rito?osq=tacos When I stay in Mexico I stay in Rosarito Beach, and when I do I can't leave without eating these tacos. Trust me, its a must.

I'm planning to be down there that week, but I fly home on the 4th. I expect Wednesday the 3rd to be pretty crazy as people start their three-day weekends.

This is NOT true. The law is clear that a US citizen does NOT need a passport to re-enter the country. You need to have one if traveling by air, but that's enforced by the airlines.

    https://www.usa.gov/enter-us
"American citizens entering the USA Must show a valid passport, USA Passport card, Trusted Traveler Program card (NEXUS, SENTRI, Global Entry or FAST), or an enhanced driver's license. If you have any questions, contact your carrier to find out if they require a specific document."

From the Customs and Border Protection web site:
    https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/det...2For-to-travel
"Land or Sea Travel: USA Citizens entering the United States by land or sea are required to present a valid WHTI-compliant document which includes a driver's license."
"Travelers without WHTI-compliant documents are likely to be delayed at the border as CBP officers work to verify identity and citizenship."

A United States citizen traveling back to the U.S. by land cannot be denied entry to the U.S. The U.S. will not refuse entry to a U.S. citizen; even one without a passport or other valid travel document. However, U.S. citizens without valid travel documents could be delayed at the port of entry until a CBP officer can determine their admissibility. At the very least, travelers are advised to bring their valid driver's license and birth certificate to assist in expediting reentry to the U.S.
Every day hundreds of US citizens cross back into the US with nothing more than a drivers license. You may be selected for secondary screening, but they can't keep you out. I have escorted dozens of medical patients, by car and by foot, and every trip there are a few with no passport. It has NEVER caused so much as a delay.

If any celebrating goes on for American holidays, it will be at Hong Kong. Here is their events page:

    https://hktijuana.com/events.php

Note, they don't advertise too far out, as you see here, they are having a 70's and 80's party in June. So, check there after June 19 and they next party will be advertised.

My own experience is, you don't really need an excuse to party in TJ. Every day is a party.

I have never gone to the beach. Someone else will have to weigh in for that.

I handed US entry folks my brand spankin' renewed Global Entry card that, unbeknownst to me, hadn't been registered, and that put me into the secondary screening room. I had my passport and offered it, but to no avail, I was stuck in the "room. " Here is the deal, I was the only one in there with two border patrol officers doing nothing. They let me sit there for 15 minutes or so, I guess to teach me a lesson, I don't know. That room seats a good 50 people, so I am guessing if there were a bunch of people in that room I could have sat there for hours. Once I was called up it took 30 seconds to clear me, along with getting a lecture. As soon as I got to my room in SD I registered the damn card.

So, yeah, you can probably go both ways without a passport, but it might be painful. No issue with passport going in, no line ever for Sentry line coming back. Why would you do it any other way?

More than half of them do not have and never have had a passport (lots of low and middle income people who don't ever travel internationally). They are just fine entering with just a drivers license and copy of a birth certificate for the return.
