A basic room is $60 during the week. With the 20% discount for VIP that's $48. Since it was Friday morning maybe they considered that part of Thursday night?

Glad you had a great time. I realize that it doesn't matter much but I'm confused by your timeline. You arrived in TJ around 10 am and left at 3:45 pm, so what did you need a room for? Two short term rentals would have been $36. I guess having the room meant you had a place to charge your phone or relax a bit, but I'm not sure you needed that for such a short trip. Or am i confused and you actually stayed overnight?

And why buy the VIP? The $50 for the card is much more than the $12 that it saved you. Are you planning on more trips in the next three months?

I did need a place to leave my jacket and a couple small items, but I did not stay overnight. I also heard about the dreaded knock on the door and did not want that hassle. I did think I may take more than two girls to the room, but I was there for over an hour with one of them and I did not want to move rooms.

Yes, I plan at least one, maybe two, more trips in the next couple of days. Also, in addition to the room discount, I got a half price lap dance and a free drink, so that is about another $14 saved. I also got the limo ride back and a coupon for it the next time I go and I only tipped $5 for it. I was the only passenger. In the end, I think the card will be worth it. Unfortunately, from 1 to 3, it seems like the half hour room is the only viable option.

I headed to the border at 2:30 in the HK van, found only 6-8 people in line ahead of me at the border and was back in my San Diego hotel room by 3:45 pm.

Thanks to everybody here who helped me with logistics and advice. Just so helpful! Anyway, I made my maiden run to TJ today.

I was later getting away from San Diego than I planned, probably close to 9:30 this morning. Since I was a little unsure about how to get to the parking lot by Jack in the Crack, I parked at the regular border lot by the outlets for the $18 about 10:00 and I was on my way. I had absolutely zero trouble. The longest stop was to fill out the FMM and it looks like they marked that it is valid for 7 days. Plenty of time for me since I am visiting. Since I did not know exactly where the HK shuttle was, I took a taxi. When I asked if it was $5, the driver said $6. I wasn't going to quibble over a dollar or two, and I was on my way.

When I arrived, the first thing I did, was buy a VIP card. Thanks for that advice. Then I walked outside to book a room at Cascadas. This got a little interesting. Checkin is at 3:00, but checkout is at 1:00, and that two hours fell right into my window. Anyway, I went ahead with the room and they charged me $48 - not exactly sure how they got that amount. I dropped my jacket and a couple small items in my room and headed inside.

Again based on advise, I picked out one mesero right away and tipped him $5 to take care of me for the day. That kept all the others from coming up to me all the time. If they tried, he chased them away. Several girls came by and said hi, but I just wanted to enjoy the view for an hour or so. Let me say something. The girls actually look much better than the photos on the website and that really surprised me.

About 11:30, I chose a slim, dark-haired one that seemed friendly and took her for a lap dance. It was good enough that I suggested arriba and we headed up - $100 and no negotiating. Unfortunately, while it was very good, there was only a little bit of really light kissing and zero FIV, so I covered up and proceeded to the main act. She was very nice and fresh smelling, and I did DATY for a few minutes first, but she never did get all that wet. We tried mish followed by CG and a little ACG and I finished up in lazy K9. If you want a really fun time with a really nice girl, I strongly recommend her.

I headed to the border at 2:30 in the HK van, found only 6-8 people in line ahead of me at the border and was back in my San Diego hotel room by 3:45 pm.

If you are ever on the east coast, try someone at elitemodels.es or at bookalatina.com - both sites have real photos. Although photoshopped a little, the girls are usually quite good looking and the booker at both is pleasant and responsive.

I've been to otay, ped west, and el chapel, 100 times on foot, and never noticed a 3rd line. Only one line for Sentri, and everyone else. Are you saying Americans can walk past everyone instead of standing in line? Or are you talking about, after one gets past the first layer of border patrol that stands on the line? Also a passport card is better it won't waste a stamp or bend when hiding in your secret pocket like passport book. Also never tell any government agency you are doing prostitution it is a bad look and Tijuana has 6000 other things going on besides hk.

With your passport or passport card (only need one, not both) you will stand in the US Citizen line. It is the middle line and may be an hour long or much less. When you walk up to the building, often the lines are well outside. There are usually (maybe always) agents outside who will guide you, if you need guidance. Once you get up to the agent at the end of the line you may be asked if you are bringing anything back or have anything to declare. They don't usually have a sense of humor so, "Gee, officer, I hope not," or something else pithy won't get a smile. They will then wave you through. If you do have a bag you will most likely have to have it x-rayed on the way in to Mexico. I can't remember if they do that on the way out (I never have a bag).

I will say that the agents for Mexico do get it, they know why we are there. When I have been asked what I am going to TJ for I usually am honest, "I am going to Hong Kong Gentlemen's Club and getting laid. " That always get a laugh.

The Sentri / Global Entry never has more than a couple of people in line. The US line is also short, maybe a dozen or so in it, so you should be good with your passport.

The girls are always gorgeous (although they do have token less beautiful ladies for those that want that). HK and Adalita's always have model material ladies. Not so much at all the other clubs. The girls in the pics on their website are the real girls. I have recognized a few.

So when you cross over pedwest you do not have to wait in the long line if your a US citizen? I have always waited in the one line to show the guys at the gate my passport before they let you in the turn style to get in line for the border crossing.

In tijuana? To some degree but it's likely close to not helpful or reliable. For instance, girls are flying in out of tijuana to work monthly. Some girls don't use condoms, based on my experience being offered it and other reviews. Girls have boyfriends who they ain't using condoms. Some may shoot up. If a girl had hiv, she could hide it with medication to pass the test they give. The meds can reduce the hiv to quantity so low its missed on. Blood test. That's why Charlie sheen tries claiming he didn't have hiv "any more". And everything is for sale in mexico. Many street girls purposely leave I'd at home. Why? Maybe they don't have the med card, or are here illegally. And the smaller bars? Haha good luck.
