I regularly cross the border in company with people going for medical tourism -- mostly surgeries, but some dental work. Many people who go to Mexico for inexpensive medical procedures have never had a passport. I always tell them that if they have to cross without a passport, to bring a drivers license and a copy of their birth certificate. They never have a problem and none of them have ever been taken for secondary screening.

The Border Patrol HAS to allow you into the country if you are a US citizen. The issue is proving that you are. If they cannot satisfactorily check your identity at the main booth, they will take you to secondary screening. It may take hours for them to screen you, but they will let you in.

The issue is not crossing without proper identification. It's if you should be pulled over while in Mexico. Mexican authorities want people to have proper identification and follow their laws, just like we do over here. Respect other countries laws! Moe.

So, yeah, go ahead and try to cross without a passport. If it works that is good. And if it doesn't, don't blame us.

I'm not recommending crossing without a passport. It all depends on the agent and if you want to take a gamble but I always bring one.

I've heard mixed stories on people using a US license to cross the border. I personally rather not risk it, and use a passport to get in and out of TJ. Out of the dozens of times I've gone, not once have they ever stamped my passport book. The only person I normally have to show it to is the US security guards getting back into the US. Most of the time I can just walk straight into Mexico and only have to stop for the x-ray machine if I brought overnight bag with me. I think maybe 2 or 3 times did they have a security person on the Mexican side who stopped me and asks me why I'm going into Mexico. I just tell them I'm going to the Hong Kong club, and they just tell me to behave and stay out of trouble and that's it.

As for money, that all depends on what you go after. A street girl can cost you $20-$30 for a 10 minute quickie, but there's normally a $5-ish room fee, and you need to tip the guy a couple dollars who cleans the room after your done. Club girls can cost you about $100-$125 for a hour, plus room fees if you're not staying at the hotel connected to the club. I also never get mexcian pesos and pay with everything in USD. Most places in the Zona Norte will take USD, and some places will actually prefer USD over the peso. You may end up paying a little more, but I don't want to worry about having to deal with the left over pesos after I'm done.

Recently took the plunge to try out TJ. It was not disappointed at all. Stayed in a hotel near HK for a few nights with friends. We would walked to HK to fuck a hot girl before breakfast. Had taco. Head back. Rest. And then go out to HK again for round two of the day. Also tried Adelita next door. The girls are also good. Slightly cheaper than HK. Checked out the street girls multiple times but couldn't find anyone worthy fucking.

At nights tried several girls from CuminTJ and Mexico Lindo Bar. $150 an hour actually better value than the bar girls who typically cost $80 to $100 for half an hour plus room fee and tips for the cleaning guys. BBBJ and DATY are all included for the outcall girls. The ones I chose were so hot. Solid 8 plus for look. 10 for altitude and service. Definitely will go back to TJ soon.

Parking at the boarder station is very expensive. Ended up paying almost $50 a day. Next time will drop off the car to rental. Uber to crossing. Have fun in TJ. Then Uber back to airport to get a new rental. Cheers!

Another small tip is to exchange to pesos before crossing the border. Better slightly rates than in USD.

I've never done the uber because I don't like the extra "tracking data". I just negotiate w / the taxis. Though, it sucks that the taxis have the upper hand at hotels not in the zone.

But don't just take my word for it, go back a couple of pages and read the accounts from several guys who did their first crossing. A few had bad experience (mostly because they didn't follow suggestions or over thought it) and a few that had the best times in their lives.

So I was in TJ this past Saturday and decided to give the Deja Vu club a visit while I was there. I was curious about the place, and wanted to check it out at least once. It was a large super nice looking and clean club, but at almost 10 pm on a Saturday, there was barely a dozen or so people in there. There were some super cute girls in there, but they wouldn't let you touch them to much, and (at least the 2 I spoke to) where not "pay to play with". The prices they wanted to charge me for drinks and dances was just like any club I've been to in the US. Like $10 drinks for the girls, and $20 for lap dances. No one also seemed to know anything about the "spa package" they advertise in their tweets and right on their webpage. I stayed for about an hour before I caught a Uber back to the Zona Norte area.

Total damage was 3. 0 (originally 2. 0 for 2 hrs but I tipped her an extra 1. 0 for the extra time and exceptional service. I highly recommend and definitely will use this agency again.
