I remember in my youth walking up 14th St. towards Logan Circle and beyond back when that was a much rougher hood than now. As I headed west on Wilkens I stopped at the light at Catherine. Before I knew what was happening a wsw jumps in the car. Yeah, my fault - I should have made sure my doors were locked. I told her that couldn't care less but that the cops in PG would not help her - their favorite pastime is excessive force.

I've walked the ECB and NC in San Diego, SOBT in Orlando, K/L in DC and never had any problems or fears. But when it comes to places like the Clix Loop and the K I'm afraid to get out of my car long enough to go knock on the door of a SW friend. There are only a few times when I felt walking was an advantage (certainly not ECB, NC, or SOBT).

I must have driven Pigtown at a different time than Bench, I spotted several good options at the standard corners. CB was decent as well. Wilkens was lonely. I didn't pick anyone up.

I think I saw Buffy out there earlier this evening, other than her Wilkens seemed pretty dead, though it was hella early. Pigtown was marginally better, there was one suspect who I will be keeping my eye out for in the future to be sure, but as I was driving one of my customer's cars I was way too fucking visible to be able to do more than window shop.
