This is to give you a heads up on Tina, Alicia's sister, who may have contracted Hepatitis C. One of our members informed me recently that Alicia told him that Tina had contracted the disease. I have no reason not to trust this source and ONLY mention it so those who come in contact with Tina can take EXTRA PRECAUTIONS.

While I don't like to spread rumors, it's important that you know what is being said so you can make your own informed decisions. I will try to get confirmation when I see either one of them again.

I was with Tina one time last summer and she was a very pleasant girl and showed me a good time. She usually hangs out around Brunswick, Millington, and Washington Blvd. near the Hess gas station. Fortunately, I had a physical since then and was tested for every disease known to man and got a clean bill of health.

Here is some general information about Hepatitis C:

Hepatitis C is inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus. About 4 million people in the U.S. are infected with hepatitis C, according to the National Institutes of Health. However, most don't know they have it because the virus causes few symptoms.

There are at least six different subtypes of the hepatitis C virus. While no one type is more dangerous than another, they do respond differently to treatment. What Are the Symptoms?

When symptoms are present, they may include:

Jaundice (a condition causing yellow eyes and skin, as well as dark urine),
abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, and fatigue.

How Is Hepatitis C Transmitted?

Hepatitis C is transmitted when the blood or body fluids from an infected person enters the body of a person who is not immune to the disease.

It can be spread by:

Having sex with an infected person without a condom (though experts don't know if condoms prevent transmission or just reduce it), sharing drugs and needles, being cut by infected needles (health care workers), birth from a mother to a child.
