Yesterday I had reason to be in Rockford (about 50 miles from home) and decided to check out the local strip club scene. The last time I was in town and had such an opportunity was about five years ago, and I noticed via Google search that the city is down to just two operating clubs! (I had last sampled The Body Shop on my prior visit; I didn't yet check out the so-called Lingerie Shows (such as Chantilly Lace), but will perhaps read through more of the Rockford forums before planning such a visit.).

Anyway, Bigfoot was on my way home last night (Fri, 6/3) and I popped in around 8:00 pm. The parking lot was moderately full and the bouncer at the door was collecting $5 for cover. I then purchase a Diet Coke for $4 and gave the bartender a $1 tip. As I was getting a feel for the lay of the land, Aubrey, a young white dancer in her early twenties approached me. She said it was her second week at the club and in the industry for that matter. I asked her how the VIP dances worked: at that day and hour they were $20/ song. I went for a single VIP dance, which was pretty good given how new she was. Dances at that time of the day take place in a third bar / stage area in the far back (NW corner) of the building.

However, my tastes do run toward the chocolate spectrum (side note: if you're into that, take the time to visit Arnie's Idle Hour in Harvey, IL (147th and Wood): see the south suburban reports for more detail). I saw a most beautiful AA dancer across the room, whom I later learned went by "Tev". She stands about 5'6" or so, very well endowed, gorgeous dark complexion. Not one to waste time, I approached her and asked if she was free. We hit it off: she's a great conversationalist and very intelligent; she also has mad skillz with respect to dancing ability! We did two VIP dances, then sat at the bar and talked about life for a bit, then indulged in another two VIP dances before I headed home. Tev's been at Bigfoot for about a month now. Boys, she is a gem: treat her right! I plan on returning in the near future.

Total cost break down for the night: $5/ cover + $10 for two drinks (including tip) + $100 for five VIP dances total = $115 for the night. I meant to tip Tev and somehow it slipped my mind, because when I got home I found that cash in my pocket. I'll just have to have a follow-up visit sooner than later!

Do the dance prices fluctuate on different days / times? $20 seems pretty high for Rockford. I haven't been to Rockford strip clubs in ages. I tried out Bigfoot years ago just for the heck of it. It was okay. It was darker lighting than State Street- seemed more like a lounge. It might have been more expensive than State Street I forget. I think the only two strip clubs in Rockford right now are Bigfoot and Tigers Tail. They had some hot women when i went years ago. I read some poor reviews about them and $20 lap dance prices are too high for me to make a special trip out that way- but that's me. Good report!

I went in there, once, because I had to be in town one evening and had some free time. The women were so-so looking, at best. The whole 'bikini-bar' thing never really got me going. Worst of all, rather than let me pay a fixed door fee, they demanded that I buy a couple of beers, even though I'd have to drive home afterwards and risk the unfriendly attention of crazy Uncle LEO. Forget that, gone and not mourned, at least by me.

Yeah I'm sentimental because State Street was the first strip bar I went too that had full contact lap dances. And most of the dancers were incredible and I'm very picky. I hear you about not drinking too much. I'm not a big drinker either. I just assume that's the price of doing business and since I usually get one or two anyway it's not a big deal to me. I just make sure I drink them early- milk them for awhile, and if need be I used to hit a McDonalds on the way home to make sure I'm under the limit in case I got pulled over for speeding.

I know guys used to like to skip between clubs and had their favorites and more than one place; but with two clubs left in town that is not going to be possible. Now you may have your favorites all at one place. Or if you develop favorites - they are all going to be in one place. It is going to cost you a fortune to get out of these clubs.

I was one of those that liked skipping between clubs. So many choices back then. Hideaway, Surf, Paradise lounge, SSStation. Always ended my night at a Exclusive Lingere. Super fun times back in the day.

Well if that's the case I can't say I'm surprised. How the mighty have fallen. In the 90's when I first went there, I couldn't believe it. I was like a kid in a candy store- hot women everywhere. Many were like beauty pageant types- thin, petite, no fat, very fit and attractive young twenty somethings. The cover charge was minimal, the lap dances were great contact in the VIP room, you could grab anything that wasn't covered and the dances weren't expensive, and the dancers didn't hassle you for dances. It was the best club I've ever been too. Then, after a few years went by, they got greedy and decided to raise the dance prices significantly and many guys like me stopped coming from the Chicago area, the hot dancers quit, and they never recovered. They never understood that it's Rockford and not Vegas. There's no way they can charge high prices like that around here and stay in business. Locals and regulars like me just can't afford it or are unwilling to pay an arm and a leg for it. The appeal was always it was worth the long drive to have a good time because you got your moneys worth. The place used to be packed on the weekends- two levels, several stages, a real nice club not a dump, in a safe part of town.

They never took our advice and now it looks like they are gone. That's too bad. At one time they were the model of how a strip club should be run.

Found these pics onlien while looking for some more pics of the ELB and CL models. These are off their website of the girls that are there. Full disclosure. I have not been there, went to a Rockford SC once, but they don't even show off their tits so the Ls are much higher mileage and I prefer them. Also more $$ but you get what you pay for. Also have not heard of take away at any strip clubs. Presneted without furtehr comment.

Haven't been to Rockford in a long time- but I'm guessing you were at State Street Station. When she's at the stage just sit there or go up and tip her a dollar and ask for some dances. You could always ask her if she does private shows.
