I was in Rockford on biz last month & hit up T. T. & B. F. Tiger had some real hotties & you didn't have to chase them down for a private dance. I got 2 dances with 2 very young, very small spinners. They both did a damn fine job working my business. Mission accomplished.
Then I hit Bigfoot. Also several fine choices. But, BF will never change. They give all their attention to their gangbanger boyfriends & ignore the ones who are trying to give away all their money. I finally flagged one down for a dance. She said "After I smoke. ", & just walked away. I waited 10 minutes, then left. Never again.

First time hitting a rockford strip club proper last night. Tried bigfoot. I knew t was a bikini spot, so never felt the need. Was planning on hitting one of the other 1-on-1 spots, and had 45 minutes to kill so stopped in. The girls are not interested in making money, it seems. One of the cuter young girls on stage refused to make eye contact with me or come over and say hello for two songs. OK. So I finally had to hold the dollars up to her for her to figure out to come get the tips. Next dancer, same thing, just kept throwing herself AT the pole and talking to other dancers at the tables as I sat there with singles burning my hand. Third dancer, a curvy girl with glasses and tats, was the the best. Then, as I'm sitting there talking with her at the stage, the first dancer who would barely look at me before comes and sits down next to me at the stage. Always hated that move. Got up to go after that. Also saw a Latina who looked super cute on my way out. Crossed it off the list but doubt I'll return.

Posts: 223Sad state of strip clubs
After having spent almost a year, without going to any strip clubs / bikini bars, I made a few trips to a couple different clubs in the last week. Man, I haven't missed anything. It's just sad. I came down to Rockford last Tuesday, with a buddy of mine, and we hit Bigfoot and Tiger Tails. Bigfoot was a joke. After an hour in there, we shot down to Tiger Tails. It was a little better, but nothing to get excited about. My buddy got a couple not-very-good lappers from a very talkative blonde. That was highlight of that trip. Sadly. So, on Saturday I decided to check out the two clubs up in Darian, WI (Showpalace and Vegas Club). What a joke! Little talent in either club, and not one offer for a lapper. WTF? Since I had unspent money burning a hole in pocket, I decided to give Rockford another shot, on Sunday night. Again, I wasted my time at Bigfoot (Man, I miss Danielle! Back down to TigerTails, I went, after having only been in B. F. For about 30 minutes. Tiger Tails, once again, was a little bit better. It was the only club I went into that had dancers who were at least making some effort to make money. Having gone to both Rockford and Darian clubs, I see that it isn't just a Rockford issue. The hobby, itself, just isn't doing well. With the Belvidere parlors getting busted, and the Rising Sun getting busted, it's just not looking good. It's bad enough that I can't go to ERS anymore. Now the strip clubs are turning into a waste of time.

I was in Rockford for business. Normally, I'm a a guy that goes to Chantilly Lace, but I had a date early in the day and so I thought I would just go and have few beers and see what the Rockford Strip Club scene was like. Better than just sitting in the hotel room. I didn't realize that Tiger Tail was only a bikini bar. That was disappointing. I thought I would just finish my beer and go. However, the hottest girl (AA spinner named Milana) in the place came over and sat down. Asked me if I would buy her a drink. Why not? I wasn't going see any naked bodies on stage, so if I could have the hottest girl in the place for a little while to myself with a little teasing as she tried to convince me to do a VIP dance, I was game.
She kept on asking if she made nervous and that I was shy! I told her the real issue was that she was seriously hot and I didn't want to get kicked out for doing something that I shouldn't. (Side note, she had just got done dancing and a guy tipped her by stuffing a dollar bill in bikini bottoms and tried pulling them done at the same time. Security was talking to the guy within seconds!) Well, she told me that I could touch her all over in the VIP. I told her that would get expensive and I really wouldn't get what I wanted. I would rather take her back to my hotel room where we could truly get intimate. So, we continued to do this back and forth for a while. It was fun- I do like the teasing that can go on in a strip club.
There was no promise of anything extra, nor did I expect anything. But, I did want to see how good a lap dance I could get. The teasing was really good, she basically spent the majority of our time grinding her pussy against my cock. If I hadn't had a date earlier in the day, I definitely would have popped. We did a total of 6 dances, the first three with a dancer and a guy right across from us. But, after they left, she got a lot more frisky. She told me "you have me so horny" and frankly it showed. Spent too much money, but I got a lot more mileage than I expected!

I am glad someone else remembers SSS the way that I remember it being. Yes, guys would just sit down in the VIP Room and wait for dancers to come in (I think every dancer would check after getting off the main stage on the 1st floor). I think the move to no smoking hurt; now every other dancer needs to take a smoke break after getting off stage. Anyway, dances were at one point $5 and then they went to $10 (which wasn't too bad because I think most customers realized $5 was a relative steal). And the dancers and dances were great. The whole bikini thing was not an issue (and frankly, bikini is being overly descriptive), they are in very skimpy thongs and tops.
The thing was, a dancer who hustled, even at $5 a song could make money. No one bought just one dance at $5. So if you could get 8 dances in an hour plus a tip there was $50 and with stage work, $75 hour was possible (and I have been told by a reliable source was easily obtainable). Even today, years later, $75/ hour (CASH) is good money. And that was not just weekends; they were busy on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. But say that 8 dances is overly optimistic; say they could do 5 in a hour. So $25, plus only a $5 tip. They would still be at $30/ hour not counting their stage work and if the club is busy I'm sure they could average $10/ hour more during their time on stage. That still is $40/ hour (conservatively) at $5 a song. I don't mean this to sound condescending, but what job can these ladies go to and make $200 a shift in cash? The thing was at those prices, a guy with $50 in his pocket could stop in and have a good time. And at least part of that money goes to the club. A guy who stops in twice a week and spends $50 each time is still blowing $5000/ year in your club. If he isn't worried he's going to get talked into to dropping $200 (which is easy to do) if he stops in some night when he has nothing to do; maybe he becomes the guy who stops in for a beer on his way home when he has $10 in his pocket. Again, I am not suggesting $5 dances is the way to go (that would never work, I'm sure there would have been mutiny). But I am suggesting there may have been other options they never tried where people would have still made money. Like 2 for $25 dances on Tuesday or a VIP Club or cheaper dances on the floor and a Champagne Room. ANYTHING, other than just letting it fade away.

$20 is the general going rate for Rockford. BF has tried different prices structures over the past year or so but seems to have settled back at $20. Of the three clubs (well formerly three) that is the club where I go the least. I just have never been able to get into that place. Don't like the stage set-up or the seating and it is just too damn DARK! Turn up the lights a little (but I digress). SSS closing is a shame. Even if you didn't like the place. Less choices for the consumer is NEVER a good thing. There were what 8-10 clubs in this town at one point? Sure, some of them were just barely functioning as clubs, but still they had dancers and now there are 2 clubs left. They just did everything they could to screw it up. They bumped the prices way too fast (going from $10 to $20 is DOUBLING the cost to customers. No club anywhere seemed to get that concept). Then shortly after the price increases, the economy tanked. They compounded the problem by refusing to back off those prices even when it was obvious there was resistance by the public. They never ran specials (like 2 for $30 or something during the week or 3 for $50). I was told that they were afraid dancers would leave to Wisconsin if they reduced the prices on the dances and also they thought if people couldn't afford $20 dances well that was fine, they didn't want people who couldn't afford the dances in the clubs anyway. And that is fine to have that attitude I suppose, if you have enough customers willing to pay the prices. But they didn't.
SSS was still functional till about 3-4 years ago (that's when some of those dancers pictured below left). There were a couple other dancers (not pictured) who had good followings, they left around the same time and SSS just never recovered. I swear some nights it looked like they went to Wal-Mart and asked women if they wanted to try being dancers. No make-up, no sense of trying to be sexy or seductive. Old-time customers will remember back in the day dancers had to have at least a couple different outfits they and they were supposed to change during the shift now you see a dancer who works nightly and has one outfit (which you wonder if it ever gets washed). Anyway, SSS (or TT or BF either) have not been able to hire the same quality dancer in recent years and even if the lap dances were still good quality; if there are only 1 or 2 dancers to choose from. It doesn't really matter. There were other things that hurt along the way. Yes, there were people that came out from Chicago and then some of them would go out for other entertainment options when the clubs closed; but those options don't exist anymore. Then there has been the endless construction on I-90, (that finally ended), but I'm sure a lot of guys found other options versus driving out to Rockford. Enough for my current rant I'm sure I'll have more later on.
