I'm confused by the strategy.

Zoning is really restrictive in the northwest burbs and only Stone Park is permissive with strip clubs. Obviously, they think there's enough business to open another club. Hope the parking is better than Scores and Gold Room. Knockouts might be just a reference to the quality of girls. What I would like is a more relaxed lounge atmosphere like the old Allstars before it burned down.

Just saw an ad on Gold Room's Instagram story for a new club named Knockouts right across the street from Gold Room. Not where Allure / Mansion was / is. Other side of the street. Old brick building there now that's got signage up that it's a transmissions place.

I'm scratching my head a little. No indications of any changes to Gold Room. Why would you put another club right across the street from one you already own?

Different theme, sure, and it allows them to market to two different groups. Gold Room is more of a club atmosphere where they bring in DJs and do theme nights and whatnot. I assume Knockouts might be more for the crowd that likes to go for UFC and big boxing fights, though the story makes it clear they're hiring dancers. They say they'll do the $10 dollar night thing like Polekatz (also same owners) does.

But how much are you just taking away business from yourself?

The other thing is that's three clubs all within about two blocks of each other with Scores there, too. Part of me wondered with Gold Club if they've been trying to subtly push Scores out. Adding a second club over there makes me wonder if they're trying to water down the market there somehow.

Furthermore, I've thought the talent has dipped some at just about every Chicago club lately. Might just be my taste, but more clubs mean things will be even more watered down.

I'll check it out at some point, but I'm confused by the strategy.

Went to Club 390 for the first time tonight. Was pleasantly surprised. I was worried about how safe the location was, but the club is in the middle of bunch of large company areas, I think Illinois Tool Works was one nearby, so it was relatively quiet outside, well lit, and the parking lot was right outside the entrance so it actually felt pretty ok. I was surprised by the number of attractive girls there. I went around 9 PM on a Friday night. For reference, I prefer thinner girls with C cups and I felt like I had plenty of options. Dances were $20 for topless and not much touching, but then $30 for full nude that allowed much more roaming. One girl actually told me that I could touch her anywhere I wanted when she noticed I was being careful where my hands were going on her body. I'm usually a Polekatz guy, but this place felt like Polekatz with much much more relaxed rules. Extras definitely can be had with certain girls, and if you are willing to pay a good amount. One girl quoted me $400 for the 30 min VIP room PLUS a $200 tip to her. One hour VIP is $600 and I'd still have to pay her $200 tip. Her menu seemed pretty open though. Covered FS and I think BBJ. When I declined her offer with the excuse that I didn't have a cover, she offered BJ. She said the managers even give them a towel for the VIP room LOL. I was tempted since I did find her pretty attractive (she was mixed race, thin with nice C cups), but ultimately I managed to think with the right head and still declined. I stuck with some full contact and generous hand roaming dances with her. It helped that I wasn't really drinking alcohol because of the long drive back to the city (about 40 min to downtown).

I tried out Heavenly Bodies the night before. The talent there was also great, but what turned me off was the wildly varying cost of dances. They don't do single dances. What the girls told me was that dances are in bundles, I. E. , 5 dances for a certain amount of money. The problem was each girl quoted me a different price. Less attractive ones were quoting 5 for $60 but others were quoting as high as 5 for $100. The next level up was $300 for like 15 min. On top of that, one girl I did 4 for $80 with wouldn't take her top off unless I tipped her more money. The amounts aren't necessarily insane, but it just left me with a bad taste that I couldn't figure out how much exactly I was going to spend with each girl. Compared to 390 where they are full nude and full contact, I was happier just paying the $30 a dance even if it came out to be more in the end.

Finally, and this could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are, Heavenly Bodies is cash only. For me, it threw me off since I usually pay for drinks with my card and keep my cash strictly for dances and stage tipping so that I know where my budget is at as I'm getting dances throughout the night. BUT, "cash only" also prevents me from throwing my card down for a VIP room when a too pretty girl takes advantage of drunk me. Sooooo could be a good thing.

It's dark with lots of screens showing whatever games are on.

3 stages.

In the old days they would have all 3 stages going at once but usually it's only center stage now unless they are busy.

The 20 buck 'special' is not really because it's a 2 minute song (yes I actually time it). So same price as a regular dance 30 bucks for 3 min. Classic pennywise / pound foolish. Only benefit is being able to sample more ladies for same price, however that gets very expensive if one likes to get a taste of the entire buffet.

Advantage as you said is saving money with a lame dancer, and another advantage is they tend to have more girls than usual in the afternoon.

Thanks, will give it a try. 7-10 T-F no admission too. New clubs usually charge little or no house to the girls. No surprise they're gone. You're lucky if they stay anywhere for more than 6 months under usual cirmcumstances.

Went to Ocean's once. Nice concept, but upkeep on the pools must have been expensive. Looks like they've been filled in. I heard Ocean's was run by the same people as Club O. Club O was great especially in the early years.
