There were at least 6 places in Berwyn that had Fashion Shows as well as more in Chicago Heights, and Calumet City. Beverly had a couple of bars with them also for a very short time. How many of you met Jenny McCarthy while she was doing them? Before her boob job with an offer of a couple of lines she was happy for OTC play.

The All Stars on Grand burnt down a long time ago but the sign by the road is still up. I had a lot of fun there, it's where I met my first new friend for OTC fun.

I literally drive by there at least twice a week and the sign caught my attention. I was thinking WTF the club is that little house? Ok makes sense. They just left the sign up. Tx again.

Do remember there were agencies of sorts as well. Possibly not being an employee or that these were special events even though they were daily endeavors got them around local ordinances. Course they all seem to be in a few towns like franklin, melrose or stone. The only one I know that is still alive, however have not been in in several years is uncle paulie's on north ave. I know pirate pete's is long gone. However, in the list that you mentioned I know them all except allstars is that still open? I go by there on my way to the bank all the time and I see that house on grand on the south side of the street where the big rigs have monthly parking, however I thought since I had never been there that that must be where it was or just advertising? So that is the place and it is still open?

Yep, all the ones I mentioned are still in business & have the lingerie girls. I forgot about Uncle Paulies. Never saw anyone I'd pay for a dance in that place. The All Stars I referenced is in McCook off 1st ave. Near 47th. They still have the same type program as the Mannheim bars. The place on grand was more of a traditional strip club.

You are correct, the agencies were the ones that provided / supplied the "models". There was Vogue Fashions, run by the infamous Dawn H. aka the Palos Park Madam. She landed in all kinds of trouble. Sneak Previews, that was my favorite, The owner, Tammy, was a smokin hot blonde that would do private parties in person & was wild to say the least. Was fortunate enough to be at a closed door event & she gave me a face full of her kitty. There was also Helen Of Troy run by a woman named Carol. She was cool & had some fun ladies.

There are still opportunities for fun. A lot of the Mannheim lingerie girls are up for OTC. Some of the bars look the other way on that & some crack down hard on the girls that offer it. One just has to be careful & not bluntly ask for it. I find it's best to drop hints & see where the conversation goes IMHO.

Anyone remember Genos? He had a few places. I started going to his place on Western, I believe it was Geno's Knights Out. That was a closed door bar & was TONS of fun. There was also a place on Elston, Nantucketts. That was another really crazy place. I miss the days of the closed door fashion shows. That's where the real fun was. You had to know someone to get in. I was invited to many of those by the girls or the agency owner I had become friends with. I've been hoping to find something like that recently but no luck. Don't know if it's a thing of the past or just more tigght lipped about it.

Now I vaguely recall that the allstars up here was an actual strip club. As mentioned back in the day I started my business in the northwest burbs and was representing strippers and waitresses for private parties only though. I am sure the girls I was booking were also doing these types of clubs on occasion to pickup extra cash. I agree that if one would make their face known as someone that wants to hang and drop cash I don't think one would necessarily have to come right out and ask for otc. These girls need money. Where I do my laundry a girl was hired and then quit as she could not earn that much on a check because she was collecting disability. She was working at j's as well. She came and went before I got a chance to meet her at the laundry, however one girl there said she was attractive. So I think these ladies are all looking for supplemental income and are looking for regulars to finance them away from the club. Actually I may have to make a cruise down there because 1st is cumberland up here and I can go straight down to 47th. Thanks again all rise for the honorable mayor!!

I've had a lot of fun in the "fashion show" scene. It has been the primary source of entertainment in this hobby for me. Back in the 90's I became very friendly with a couple of the folks that ran the companies that provided the "models". I've also enjoyed some FWB relationships with the "models" themselves. It originally started as a "fashion show" so an ordinary bar could skirt the local ordinances & liquor licensing laws. Since the bar did not actually hire & supply the entertainment they didn't need an entertainment permit. The girls sold raffle tickets instead of being paid as adult entertainment. Eventually they were required to wear pantyhose, I believe that had to do with health code.

Things have evolved in to what a handful of bars still run. J's, Carl's, Bobby's, Louie's, All Stars, & Homer's for example, are all still categorized as neighborhood bars, they just have women walking around in lingerie. I don't know what has changed allowing them to have the girls offering "dances" instead of selling tickets. Either way, It's essentially still the same thing, women walking around the bars in their panties playing touchy feely. I guess the latest incarnation of this concept is a cross between the fashion show bar & a strip club. I'm just glad they're still around. For those of you looking for more info, I suggest checking out the Melrose Park Strip Club thread. If anyone know's of other places, please let us all know!

Yes they came with ticket purchases and occasionally you would win something that you really couldn't take home. Nicely broken in or pre-worn. I have been trying to find any place that still offers them if anyone knows of any. I always liked to stay till the end, after most guys started filtering back to work. I burned many a vacation day that way. LOL It usually was very productive to buy extra tickets toward the end, be very friendly with the girls and offer a drink when they got off work. About half the time they would be willing to go with you somewhere, sometimes for a fee, sometimes for free. And often ended up with a phone number or two.

Hoping to still find then again.

On Mannheim it's pretty much the same without the ticket selling. You'll get the most mileage at J's.

I went there today around 1 pm for lunch. Couldn't drink as I had to go back to work. Thinking I could be happy coming back. Saw 5 girls working 3 were decent, like meh (meaning I would have). There were 2 like Abraham Wrinklin. Like kinda grandma-ish. TBH no one came and sat net to me either. And it kinda had a odd smell. The bartender was nice. Looks like she's been around the block has missing teeth. Was only in there for 45 min to one hour. Maybe I will come back.

When you thread through the pages on j's and other bars on heim it's really a hit or miss situation. However, keep in mind that the immediate area is all blue collar workers so you will see a lot of pickup trucks etc say at noonish and after work in the parking lots. The places are more known for after work stops prior to going home "to the old lady". I believe if they start recognizing your face and know you will spend you can acquire their services as such. Completely different than say scores or the place next door where they are valeting cars and charging covers. And yes I do remember that we would go for the fashion shows now that it is mentioned. The tickets also. I think that was a legal thing. There were also these places in industrial parks that you would go in and they would give you a camera to take pictures of the girls for a price. Also I recall a waterbed demo place. I am old now, however I did my share of being a sucker at most all of those hustles back in the day!
