But what about the area on North ave between the viaduct and Pulaski? That used to be one of our go-to spots. It doesn't look like it's gentrifying.

That first that is mentioned on north from chicago river to damen is all new younger people that really can't afford the west loop yet and that whole area is not cheap either / just to keep things in perspective. That Cicero stroll is still running.

I think that North Ave stretch you mentioned was my favorite.

Armitage has been hit with gentrification almost as bad as that North Ave stretch. I have a feeling there is a straggler on Armitage once in a great while.

And that Madison stretch is starting to see the gentrification, but I imagine there are a few ladies over there once in a while. I keep meaning to cruise that section, but every time I'm about the head over there a find a girl on the way.

Found myself not able to sleep last night so took a stroll at 2 am, fif & cic was dry itself so I decided to head up to Armitage and Kostner and finally saw the girls. We do need to be careful. As a Chicago native, I can tell you the dynamics of gangs / thugs have changed. The major gangs are mostly controlled by leftovers. It's not like it used to be in the late seventies or mid eighties when I was growing up on the Northside and the near westside where as long as you didn't wear the wrong colors you can walk past them with no problem. If you had an issue with one of the young punks you know you always can go to their leader and things were taking care of. What ever shootings happened it was between them. Now they are all cliques. You now have New gangs / cliques rising up trying to establish their drug business in a more dense Chicago.
