Norm or exceptional? I don't go often enough to give a good answer. I've been with women at Eros Massage in Nogales who weren't nearly as engaged as Shantal and Maria. I spent the evening in Nogales, for the first time since well before the pandemic began, and it gave me clarity why I like to visit there from my Tucson home.

As many have pointed out, costs are not all that different from Tucson. I spent close to US $300. I restocked on the generic versions of Vitamin V and Vitamin C, had four drinks, ate a fine meal -- and played with three women in strip clubs and had an hour each with two independents; while that is certainly a bit less than comparable service in Tucson, it's not a huge savings. Money is not the sole reason I go to Nogales.

I cross the border to be somewhere different from the US. The sights, the smells, the sounds tell me I've traveled somewhere very different. Walking streets with high curbs and dozens (hundreds?) of nice looking Latinas dressed in that slightly conservative yet sexy way; getting churros from a street vendor; and getting a plate of rice, beans, and freshly cooked pork and veggies along with corn tortillas from a street-side food shop -- that doesn't happen in the US, even in Tucson.

And there is something different about the mongering.

There's no coded language, no need to pantomime a handjob in a massage parlor or need to guess what a dancer might mean when you ask about "extras" and she says "you'll have a good time". In the Nogales clubs, the masero and the dancer talk about things directly: a fuck is $130. A blowjob is $90. There's no doubt what I'm paying for.

There's less worry about health. All of the women I encountered have "tarjetas de salud" -- a card from the health department saying that they were clean when they were last tested, and I believe they get tested every other week.

There's no worry about time. I pay for an hour, and I get an hour. The women don't try to make me cum fast and push me out the door.

And did I say the tequilla is cheap? $2 per shot in most bars. Food too; my dinner cost less than US $5.

On this trip I started and ended at strip clubs: Obsessions at the front end, and Studio 69 at the end. While both are fun, they are also expensive. Obsessions charges US $3 cover, but that results in a free beer. Women's drinks are $13. Studio 69's cover is US $6; women's drinks $11. Private dances are $20 for 5 minutes at Studio 69; I didn't get one on this trip at Obsessions, but in the past I think they were slightly under $20 and for the same amount of time. Privates are topless, with lots of stick shifting -- so no different from the Boat and more expensive than Venom. The cost of a room for an hour at Obsessions is different every time I go; pre-pandemic I got an amazing hour with a wonderful woman named Shantal for $100; on this trip they wanted $130 and up. Studio 69 wanted $180. But it's an hour, and there's no doubt about what body parts will go where.

I checked out Bliss Massage, the new establishment at the end of the block and around the corner south of Obsessions; $40 for a room for an hour plus whatever the girl wants. Didn't partake; the one girl there was "giving a massage" when I walked up the stairs.

But the action at the hotels was exactly what I wanted, and it blew me away. First up was Maria at Hotel Martinez. She was the only woman working there that afternoon, and while not much to look at, this 36-year-old was playful and loving, and in our hour we did many different things, including her giving me a very nice massage, and me spending a great deal of time going down on her, at one point with a finger on her G-spot and another gently in her ass. She gave a very nice BBBJ. We never fucked; the rest was so very good I didn't need that or miss that. Not really, its barely cheaper than what you can find in Phoenix or Tucson. Quality is pretty subpar to be honest. Its better to just find cheap weekend flights to TJ if you are planning a short trip.

I have not had a good time there. I went to a place near the border. The woman was just okay. The service barely worked, and I wish I had gone elsewhere. I also had a date from a strip club and paid phoenix rates. Hit the streets in Tucson.

Parked at Ed's parking lot just two blocks away from the border crossing. $6 for the night and you can park inside or outside the gates.

Easy to walk across the border. Don't bring a firearm and you should have no problems.

Got a room at hotel Olivia. Wasn't really a great hotel but they were cheap, didn't give me problems about bringing girls, and had A / C and a hot shower with great water pressure. If I had more time to research and book, I'd probably have booked Hotel Fray Marcos or somewhere a little nicer but still allows girls.

I was surprised at how incredibly safe I felt there. People didn't really seem to care if I was there or not, aside from some street vendors being friendly trying to offer their goods or services.

My experience in a lot of other parts of the world as a white American is that I get way too much attention that I feel like a target, and the street vendors & beggars harass me till no end even after telling them no thank you 5 times so it was refreshing.

Exchange rate was good, and I didn't pay any fees either way when changing money.

Anyway, felt very safe, and everything was pretty clean compared to other parts of Mexico.

Made an appointment with a girl named "Lola" from Milleroticos. Highly recommend her.

It's now reportedly required walking (but not driving) from San Diego into Tijuana but not when walking through other pedestrian walkways from USA into Mexico.

You do not need a passport to walk across the border from the USA into Mexico.

However, you do need one to get back into the USA!
