I have always thought how great it would be to have a "thumb" drive (USB Flash drive for the technical folks) that I could use to run programs from. Nothing would exacute from the host computer. Well, today at Radio Shack I found such a device. It is a 2 gig. SanDisck Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive which has USB compatable programs which exacute from the thumb drive. Availabe programs include Chat (Works with Yahoo Messanger, MSN and others), web browsers (Fire Fox) , Heatseek (Adult page web browser), games, etc. It is on sale at RS for 29.95.
It can also be locked via a password so no one else can get access to the contents of the drive.
So now I have a sense of security from my SO finding out about my free time activities.

If you have the chance, any of you who are Star Wars fans have got to check out the R2D2 Mailbox at the corner of 14th and I. Just in case you do a double take and question if it's official, it is, but in case you're still paranoid they have placed it next to a regular mailbox.
A novel yet strange way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise indeed. May the force be with you.

Posts: 162Good places for a quickie in DC?
Hello. I am trying to find a inexpensive to moderately priced DC or metro-accessible hotel for a day-time private, possibly romantic (depends on how things go, how we feel, we may just end up talking and catching up, but I want to be ready if things progress) rendezvous with an out-of-town guest, whom I’ve known since college. In other words, she isn’t in the business.
The trick is, she gets in to union station from Baltimore in the morning, and we’ll likely only have the day, or a few hours of the day for ourselves, before she must stay at her friend’s. I certainly can’t take her to my place. Especially not during the day. Most hotel check-in times are in the afternoon. That may be too late, and I only want the place for a few hours anyway.
So is there a place we could to, with enough privacy, and possibly a bed, if the situation calls for it?
It would be great if it was not a crack house, and if it was clean. I think that we may be too distracted with the environment, otherwise, to get down to business.
Most appreciate your help in this matter.

This is a free country. You can call your orgies round tables and imagine you and your friends as knights thereof.
You can post a description of a man getting between a man and a woman having sex. After someone objects to that description on a board presumably dedicated to heterosexual sex, you can call him a nit wit. It's a free country.
You and your fellow knights can (apparently) describe other mens' nipples on this or some other board and call it what you will.
Just remember one thing. If you suck just one cork. You will forever after be called a cork sucker.

The last image I reallly want in my head at the moment is a detailed description of LL's nipples

It's true that jobs are being created in this country. But economists call them McJobs. They are low skill jobs paying low wages, offering little or so security, and no chance for advancement. They are jobs for the working poor. The reason our economy continues to grow as our jobs flow overseas is that Americans are still in the habit of spending every last cent they earn. Buying a lot of useless crap makes Americans feel good. They feel good until they are faced with a catastrophic illness or putting their children through college. Then they don't feel so good and they start blaming the blacks and the Mexicans for all of their problems.
The rioting and car burning in France ceased months ago. That's why it is not being reported. It's old news you fool. But when people in France do riot, the government pays attention.
France's Interior Ministry said 2,500 police officers had been "wounded" this year. The head of the hard-line trade union "Action Police" Michel Thooris wrote to Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy to describe conditions in housing developments turned slums as "intifada." Police cruisers are pelted daily with stones and "Molotov cocktails" (gasoline-filled bottles with burning wicks that explode on impact) and Thooris said cops assigned to what was rapidly degenerating into "free fire zones" should be protected in armored vehicles. Entire tall buildings empty into the streets to chase policemen and free an arrested comrade.
You don't see Germans or French exporting their best jobs the way America does. They have strong unions who would shut the country down if the government were to export good jobs.

The Airbus is manufactured at four different facilities in Europe. The former head of Airbus resigned after the problems with the electrical harness. The new guy came in and said Airbus had to consolidate, closing the plant in Spain, he resigned a few weeks later.
Boeing's 777 is supplanting the much ballyhooed Airbus 380. (Note to Lex - that is American manufacturing jobs beating out European manufacturing jobs)
I personally don't care what kind of crap you believe. Keep your head up your ass as long as you like. It's a natural look for you.
By the way, if you had gone to a real college or university and not the high school for adults which you attended, you would realize how ass-backward your thinking is. Karl Marx and Friederich Engels lived in the 19th century. Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto in 1848. At that time, what you call "statism" did not exist. Germany did not exist as a country. It was a collection of principalities. If anything, Marx and his philosophies gave rise to the modern socialist state. Not vice versa as you state.
LexLuther
Europe has a penchant for statism. I am no expert, but in terms of practical application of theory I would point to Frederick of Prussia (mid 18th Century) as presenting the first example of statism which may be readily seperated from a medieval theocratic philosophy (justifying state authority as a mandate from god). And, of course, from Frederick you naturally get Bismarck. This European inclination towards statism is what created the fertile ground that allowed the poisonous plants of communism and fascism to take root.
I am inclined to believe you do not know squat about my kind. I am a libertarian, an economic conservative, not a social conservative and not a slavish devotee of W. Things I do admire about W include his cognizance of the breadth of the threat presented by Islamofascists and his willingness to confront them rather than stick his head in the sand as does the EU and far too many americans.
