Room safes are a great place to leave your laptop if you don't have a car to secure it.

Car is not a safe place to store your laptop. I rather have my laptop in hotel room than in the car for safety. DJP

I should have noted relative dimensions. Of the places I listed, all the in-wall safes were rediculously small / shallow. The NYNY safe was barely 3" deep, and from my limited memory, maybe 8" wide by 8" tall? I just know it barely fit my digital camera and wallet.

The Wynn safe was about the same 3" depth but taller, maybe 12" tall and 8" wide?

DJP is correct that most will not fit most laptops and are meant for money / small documents, I barely fit a laptop with a 15" screen if I angle it into what I consider standard room safes but there is no way you could do that will the wall safes. I think the only safe I saw in my limited experience that will fit most laptops is the Palazzo safe.

In reality I can't imagine a CG walking off with a laptop. Having to carry that around would sort of put a crimp in their productivity for the rest of the night. If they're going to be a ROB I'd think they'd prefer more negotiable currency.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has experienced losing laptop, camera, etc, during an encounter.

Metro is what us locals call the LVMPD (Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department) , and since tourism is down quite a bit due to the recession, they're always glad to help a clueless tourist find a hooker.

Golden Nugget has a safe in Carson Street, Gold, and Rush Towers. If I remember correctly, Rush's safe can accomodate a small laptop.

Come to think of it, I do remember seeing that square small refrigerator sized safe. But not too many hotels offer that one. Most of them are similar to safe deposit box size at the bank.

Golden Nugget has a safe in Carson Street, Gold, and Rush Towers. If I remember correctly, Rush's safe can accomodate a small laptop.

Here is the summary of topic on picking up CG for newbies and numb seniors.

1-Look for the fellows wandering around on the casino floor wearing the red jackets and ask him to point out the CG.

2-ask the girl that checks me in at the front desk to point out the three hottest CG's.

3-call front from the room and ask them to send the three CG to my room.

4-put a 20 in between your license and credit card when checking in, they'll be your CG for the evening.

5-put a sign on your neck that says 'looking for CG'.

6-go up to every girl playing the slots and ask for her cookie.

7-ask a cute flight attendant if she wants to "lay" over.

8- ask LVMPD (Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department) eating donuts to help find a hooker.

All of the casinos I've been on the strip had safe. If they don't have in room safe, almost always safe behind the front desk is available for your use. It's lame to decide which casino to stay based on in-room safe availability.

Why wait that long? I start at the airport. I just go up to every girl playing the slots, and ask if she has time for a quickie!

I will be flying in suday for a week in vegas. Maybe I will ask a cute flight attendant if she wants to "lay" over for a few days with me.

You were very lucky! Lucky that she didn't get the wallet, I've heard of several guys having that happen, especially in their cars. You were extremely lucky, that when you grabbed her wrist, she didn't bite down!

That is one reason why I always like to have my hand on their head because if they bite or pull any of that shit I can yank them by the hair. In 40 years I have had that happen twice and it works.
