Back in the early 1980's there was an adult shop on Main Street just north of the Fire Station called Fantasy World. In addition to selling some adult toys and magazines, they had "modeling" booths. On a bulletin board near the entrance were Polaroids of the available models. Like a strip club you paid the clerk for the number of songs you wanted with whatever girl. The individual booths were peep show sized and had a large glass pane roughly from waist level up. A curtain blocked the view until showtime. And the lower partition had a slot or sizable hole for passing along tips (which were absolutely necessary). At showtime the curtain opened and depending on the tip the model would strip and cavort. One of the booths had a doorway between both sides of the booth. If the girl was a player she would keep it open so you could join up close and personal and again with the right tip enjoy mutual pleasure.

    Anyone else remember it?

    Terrible place

Sounds like the Lamplighter. Hopefully we don't end up like that here.

I can see them waiting until the very to last minute let these clubs even reopen, if they ever do let them reopen. They were already making it harder for these girls to work, and with some high profile busts and the recently legislation to limit the age of the dancers to 21. I can see them easily pushing their morals onto the rest of us.
We are allowed to reopen as soon as bars are allowed to. Only difference in the beginning will be only dancing allowed on stage.

I know. The girls are "independent contractors" and the bartenders get next to nothing, but interesting news.

And the situation may be different in other states.

She is also incredibly interested in coke. Shed always come up to me and talk to me about it despite me not showing any interest.

Currently not dancing due to the shutdown. Also she just had a kid. She won't "play". Tried on several times. Maybe you'll have better luck. If she's sugaring, expect some "I need money" texts. That's due to her current situation that's probably affecting all dancers. Lastly, she was one who got busted last year in one of the string of busts that Uncle had conducted.

Do we have an opening date yet?

Hopefully with everything opening this week the clubs aren't far behind.

ATF used to work New Solid Gold. Anyone know where she's dancing now?

Oh trust me, Florida is apparently where I want to be, but I always ended up working for some place's minimum wage my entire life. I've never had luck with a real job until right NOW. And painfully enough, the damn job shut down because of the pandemic. I can't win! LOL.

If I can find something that pays more than $10 an hour, I could head back. But it's still going to take a while, because if my job ever opens back up I'm staying here for a little while longer to continue saving up. But more than likely, if I head back to Jacksonville, I'm going to be back where I was before on Lane.

You don't really have to be rich to have a car in this garbage ass city. But you DO have to be an IDIOT. Parking costs close to monthly rent in certain parts of Jacksonville in this city (not even joking about that). Public transportation is a joke here, but combine all the buses, the heavy congestion in the street, and you'd look like an ass with a car here.

I'm going to wait until I leave again to think about getting a car. Or at least a license. LOL. As time goes by, it looks like I might be moving back to Jacksonville anyway. Lets just all hope for this virus to get solved more sooner than later.

    [.QUOTE=EthanX;4734230]Hey fellas.

Now, before you all tell me I'm a dumb fuck for asking something like this, I just want to say I haven't been in Jacksonville since about 2015. When I left, Cocktails had JUST opened back up after their renovations. And I absolutely hated the new look, because it crippled what I used to liked about the club. I don't ever see reports about Cocktails anymore. Did they renovate the place again? Am I the only person who hated the new look?

The Pony seemed like a freaking closet with no AC or alcohol in it. I do remember Paula though. By the way, is she still around?

I'm wondering if the Pony is still there? Did they close it? If it's still open, I was wondering why I never see any reports from it anymore.

That's all. Just wondering how things have been in Jacksonville since I left. I was considering moving back, but I don't have a car, and that city's bus system was horrible when I was there. But anyway, hope you guys are staying safe in all this craziness.
[ / QUOTE].You're definitely right about that. The bus system in Jacksonville was a nightmare when I was there. Hopefully they fixed it by now. But I've never been in the income bracket to afford a car because I can never find a job that pays more thab $8 an hour in the south, so I'm always going to rely on public transportation.
