I haven't emailed any providers in a long time, most seem to use text messaging as their default method of communication.

Ideally you should get a cheap burner phone and use that.

If you can't do that then get yourself a texting app (may cost a little) or use a dedicated Google account with Google Voice enabled (free), then you can text in that app. Don't allow it to integrate with your main address book! And bury the icon deep.
