If you use a fake employer, e. G. "Acme Fireworks Co. ", ensure that that you are the only contact for verification, via your burner number or burner email, JoeMonger@Acme.com.

The part you're missing is that most guys want to stay anonymous. Most of us don't provide our real names and use burners. Why take a chance and let a provider find out who you are, and in linked in's case, where you work? That's simply asking for trouble.
