I am from the city of Cincinnati chief Craig will try to do whatever he says he will do from what I saw here he is a pretty stand up guy, now I don't know how that will play in the city of Detroit your city has twice the population 2-3 times the crime and a host of other problems that's not a knock on your city that just comes with the territory in a large city. Chief Craig is smart and resourceful and I'm sure he has the city leaders ears they made a very strong financial pitch to woe him from cincinnati don't take him lightly.

Seems like so far he's been going after the low hanging fruit. That raid on the East Jefferson apartment complex is a prime example; getting the media involved, hauling out some folks who had traffic warrants. I'm sure when there's a raid the narcotics cops tip off whoever is paying them. In addition Chief Craig seems like too much of a moth to me, when the T.V camera lights come on he appears.

Not long ago I introduced myself as a dude who was intrigued about the SW scene and heard about this page through a friend who said it would be a good idea to get acclimated to this site for optimal safety and satisfaction. So I've been lingering around a awhile and listening to all the reports you guys give out and the lingo you use. The Are seemed like the most intriguing place to start. So I headed down today at 11 and had my eyes open. I'm a street smart dude who knows how to talk to street people so I just applied that to my new endeavor. When south of 7 and the Are I spotted a somewhat chubby BSW I figured this was as good as one as ever to start. I gave her the eye and hit a few corners and came back. She ran to my car. Said "white boy I never seen you around here before what you doing? She initally said she could get me candy but I said I know where to get that, I'm looking for some love. I was feeling an addrenaine rush so I pulled out my member before she could ask if I was a LEO and said just get in and we'll talk. Long story short I told her I'll give you fitty for it all and send you on your way. She must have appreciated my honesty, said go somewhere quiet and bring it. Went a few blocks over in a good spot and got it ALL. I told her I'm not looking for small talk, where do you want to go and that's that. Took her back to the Are and 7 and that was that. I am starting to find it rather hilarious that we all think we are some "special" guy that is going to make her see the light and that she is this really good person in a bad situation...as far as taking her to your place and spending hours with her, she wants to get you off one time and be done with you...she needs to get the drugs. Was in the R area today and stopped to meet some people from a collaborative of suburban churches. Was talking to one of the young ladies and I happened to look around and who did I see, Fatima. I thought how great is this if I can catch her before she walks away. I felt bad cause I wasn't giving my full attention to the lady I was talking as Fatima had my mind occupied. As we were wrapping up our conversation and I noticed Fatima was starting to walk away. I kinda panicked that I was going to miss this opportunity. Went and got in my vehicle and started down the are. Almost, as on cue, she crossed the street and was on my side. I immediately pulled over and she hopped in.

While new to this site, I want to comment on Kevin Dietz's recent reports and the possible ramifications I think it could have on all of us. But first my credentials so you regular posters don't think I'm some paranoid newbie.

I picked up my first SW in downtown Los Angeles in 1989 and have going strong ever since. That has included the frequent samplings of strolls in Chicago (north Clark St), Kansas City (Independence Ave), Manhattan (Lower Broadway), San Diego (PCH), San Francisco (the Tenderloin), Portland (Burnside Ave), Denver (E. Colfax), Vegas (Naked City) and even Mexico (now way too dangerous to visit).

When I moved from LA to greater Detroit in '91, I only had a name and number supplied by a favorite Hollywood SW. "Call my cousin Jackie when you get there. She'll show you around." Well cousin Jackie certainly did and over the ensuing years I have had more fun cruising the Motor City than a human being should be allowed to have.

My all time favorite is Tijuana, whose perfect little ass I first glimpsed walking up Woodward towards 7 Mile in a torrential rain storm. After cutting off three lanes of traffic to pick her up, magic soon happened and she moved in the next day. We have now been together 3 ½ years thanks to great sexual chemistry, non-stop laughter and giving each other plenty of rope.- she still works, I still play. (PM for her digits).

The second happened last July from picking up a SW near the same location. That ugly incident wound up costing me over $4300 in legal, recovery and court costs. So to say that I am very, very, VERY cautious lad these days is an understatement.

That last incident is also a big reason why both Tijuana and I went on full alert when we heard the Dietz's story concluding with, "And Chief Craig has just announced the formation of a new vice group excited to target prostitutes and their customers.

Now a far more disturbing follow-up report says DPD will work with the prosecutor's office and judges not to take plea deals for guilty fun seekers – which could mean jail time, increased fines and a solicitation charge on your permanent record. All with the goal of discouraging us from ever bedding a Detroit SW again.

Tijuana and I both agreed such stepped up enforcement could pose serious problems for all of us. More worrisome is that "Cleaning up the neighborhoods" has become the current mantra of both the new mayor and new police chief. Community groups, black radio hosts and pastors also repeat it 24/7.

Unfortunately, these cleansing efforts could easily provide quick, visible results. First LEO eyeballs girls from popular strolls hopping into our cars. Then vice sweeps in, TV stations show footage of vehicles being towed and kill joy politicians take endless victory laps while the empty coffers of Wayne County get a fast and hefty infusion of cash – all from our pockets.

Now you don't have to agree with my opinions on the potential seriousness of this matter and I certainly don't mean to dampen your fun. However I would suggest we all need to be extra vigilant in the coming weeks and months, especially on the more well known strolls.

Because speaking from experience, nothing chills the thrill of picking up a comely hooker than flashing police lights in your rearview mirror and the giant anal probe about to follow.

The heavier garments common at this time of year make it easier to conceal identity of uncle. There was promise of ride alongs to news 4 don't be careless enough to be that nights' news.

News to me! I remember having a couple of close calls where I was chatting with a SW and dpd drives by giving me the stink eye, by the time the cruiser rolled down the street I was already beating a path to I 75 north out of there! I have to agree here, this is a serious mistake bro, stay far away from any house, don't follow girls into them and always take them 10-15 minutes away. Out this cold morning and swing by the are. Just as I pass the liquor store south of 8 this hot brown / brunette strolls across in black boots and tight pants. Funny thing is I see LEO 3 out of 5 times I hit the Are and they seem to bother the SW's and mongers the choose to but of course this is generally at night! I do agree that children should not be exposed to The SW activity if that is indeed the case, however the video does not show any direct evidence! This report reminds me of years ago when Archer called in the Feds to help with police corruption in SW Det and while the officers and detectives were suspended awaiting trial people complained to the news that SW's were standing in front of businesses in broad day light with no police response! It was due to that news report I discovered the Vernor stroll!

I wonder how much as business for these SW's picked up after that news report. They literally told you where this strip was. Shown a corner street sign as well. Then blatantly said the police are not doing anything about this.

I drive the are every morning as I cut through for work and most times its 2-3 times mainly during the hours that the kids are on their way to school. I have yet to see any SW's out in any of the areas where kids catch the buses or on their routes while walking to school. They may pass a girl walking on one of the side streets but as often as I drive it the AM, I have not seen it once. Occasionally further down the are a couple blocks north of 6 I may see one or two or further up by SF, but there are no bus stops or kids walking in those areas. So, I believe that they do use some discretion about where and what times they work and figure at least some of them have kids and understand this. I believe this why you do not see kids and SW's in the same shots. It's all for sensationalizing the news. I understand that residents are upset but I don't think it has anything to do with SW's being out while the kids are going to school. IMHO.

It's really a shame that these girls do not use some discretion where they work.
