Not sure how long it has been there, but I just noticed that under the Community heading, "missed connections" is back on Craigslist and a few people are using it to make casual encounter connections. Perhaps there is hope more women find out about this and start posting again. But no escort ads allowed (at least cannot be posted to appear like an escort ad). Just spread the word that there is a way to advertise on CL again as long as you word it carefully.

Ok just logged onto CL. Now I was on earlier and it was fine but just now I got this msg.

US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

Legislation was just passed a day ago. I think it's the official end. Had a lot of great experiences though. Now I regret deleting certain phone numbers LOL.

So I haven't posted or responded to an ad in a little while but I browse almost every day. Until yesterday that is. I pull up facebook on my phone only to get a message saying my IP is blocked and to contact some email for more questions. Odd I thought. I then go home and the site works again. Then I wake up only for the IP to be blocked again. Has anyone else experienced this? A lot of weird stuff going on with CL the last couple months.

I have the same problem, when I am at work and on mobile data it's blocked, so I switch to a weak wifi connection and it's OK. Only the mobile IP is blocked, and only at work in the Navy Yard, my mobile IP is fine at home and other places.

Closest I have had to what your saying is when my cell jumps form one WiFi node to another. Like if I'm on Comcast WiFi and then I am on some local stores WiFi cause the signal is stronger. The store had Craigslist, Facebook or other sites blocked or content filter aplied so it would say the site IP is blocked then a little bit away it works again cause it jumped to a different strong signal WiFi source. Yeah CL has been acting weird lately. Generally does every time they change the layout. Now if your saying you logged into your Craigslist account that you set up and it says your email or account is blocked then its cause you got flagged to many times (in a given set time period) and its frozen cause it views you as a bot account and whatever phone number is associated with that account can't even post if you post without logging in.

Haven't been on CL much lately mainly looking for car parts. Just seems to be the same girls asking WAY to much for way to little service.

It's weird because it started working at home again for a while then went up IP banned again. I don't think I log into CL though I usually respond to an ad or when I post I use the email confirmation method but the hasn't been for a while. Also regarding CL it's better to find action by posting. I've got 2 providers with excellent service for the low. I had 2 others but broke contact with them as eventually I want something new. Posting is the best way now in my experience.
