I personally don't put my pictures in ads. I'm not saying it does or doesn't work though. I have tried it only a handful of times when I first moved here, since I didn't know too many people, but I don't think it made much difference, as it's already hard to get a response to an ad in the first place, depending on what you're looking for. I'll send pictures once I know things are legit though. Sometimes I try to describe myself in the ad a little, nothing too complex though.

It gets hard trying to respond to the ads that are posted, most of the time I see an ad, and its either fake or it's flagged before I can read what it says. Regardless of what people say about CL, you can definitely find real girls on there. I've had success many times, you just have to be patient. It sucks sometimes, because not everyone will be into your looks, age, etc. But, it's worth a shot man, I recommend giving it a try. Good luck to you!

I recently met with a pair of CL girls who go by Candy and Sarah. Their pictures weren't very illuminating, but I decided to take a chance, since a threesome opportunity is rare.

The good: They're real. Communication was easy, and they showed up on time (a little early actually). They were friendly and accommodating, and they had this way of looking each other in the eyes while we played that was pretty hot.

The bad: Sarah, the brunette, was fat and unattractive. Her picture did not convey this. Candy, the blonde, had a decent body but was kind of plain-faced. Both are in need of the attention of a dentist.

The last time I had a girl that told me she only accepted gift cards, she was located at some hotel on the east side. I was already on my way over and then she told me that she would like the donation to be in the form of a gift card. I thought that was kind of strange, and since I was already so close by, I said I can just give her what I already planned to give, and I asked why she waited until the last minute to say she only wanted gift cards? She avoided the question and eventually I just said forget about meeting. That was my first experience with someone asking for a gift card, and yeah, it's just a little strange. From what I have read on-line (GreenDot website) and on the forums the gift card request is a scam and never heard anything good coming from it. They want you to get a gift card for payment, usually say to avoid the cash transaction proof for LEO and before they give address or meet they ask for the code on the back of the card. They say to verify that the card has the right amount on it, BUT, if you give the code they use it and empty the card and never reply back. It was a pretty common thing about a year or so ago but haven't heard much about it lately.

Most likely fake. If she will ONLY accept amazon gift cards that I'm sure she wants you to prepay and send to her, then the closest you will get to seeing her is the pic you posted. On the other hand, if she is ok with meeting and accepting a cash gift, then you chances improve. Still, if she insists on the gift upfront or is otherwise sketchy, then she is going to bail and / or have her partners rob or threaten you.

But all this is known. I would say probe a little more and see if she is down for a cash donation at the end of your 'meeting'. If so, you struck gold. But that pic is in the style of the scammers / dating site ads I have seen on CL.

My guess: its probably fake but there is always that slim chance she is legit.

P.S. I know you aren't a rookie, LB, so please know there is no disrespect meant. I got started typing and couldn't stop. Plus, those GD craigslist scammer ads piss me off! LOL.

I appreciate the info Cylon! No disrespect taken at all LOL. I used tineye and google images and didn't find anything on the pics she sent. However, I didn't follow up on any info yet. It's been about a week now, so I think I'll message her and see if, like you said, she'll take cash, or why she prefers a gift card. If it gets a little sketchy, I'll have to pass. I'll post what happens if and when it something is set up. Thanks again for your input!
