Ken's has closed. It was in business since the mid-80s as "Bob's" then "Ken's". Back then you had only the Classic Cat and Deja Vu open. (There were clubs in the Alley like the Pink Poodle open but I'm not sure of the years. I had take out from Caroline at the Poodle but that's another story.) Then after 1990 Showtime and Club Platinum and the Odyssey opened. Tiffany's AKA Christies's and Anthony's opened in 2000. I have no idea if it will reopen under a new owner but metro had dozens of violations pending against it. They took metro to court but were going to lose. The afternoon gals were not making any money so they started riding the longhorn and got caught by metro. They had a few smoking hot babes esp. JADE-the hottest of the hot.
I have been expecting Anthony's and the Brass Stables to shut down but they are still open.

Ken's was originally the 'Solid Gold Club', then the 'Gold Club'. then Bob's Gold Club; and opened in the early 90's.
I was there opening night. Visited the Poodle in the early 70's.
once. It was originally the Black Poodle, then the Pink Poodle.
The 'Cat' was a good club, but the all-time best was the
original Showtime, when it was in a deserted warehouse which is now Cummins Station; before it moved across the street.
The owner had family ties to the chief of police, and enjoyed a hands off policy.
Take-out was the norm. For about 60 to 80 bucks you could have a girl go with you for an hour or so. And there were some total babes in there.

I've never gotten anything but a non contact lap dance in Smithville. Pretty dancers though. I've heard that they bring them in from Chicago and Atlanta.

I have only been once and it was not worth the drive. They want this to be an upscale club but we all like those raunchy clubs, don't we? At least they had a cheap admission unlike Nashville. Paying $16 to get in the Brass Stables and Deja Vu is criminal. The dancers drinks are $10 at Deja Vu, believe it or not. Both clubs were terrible the last time I visited. AL clubs and even Memphis clubs all have very cheap admissions.

I do Huntsville. It is fairly close and has a high percentage of educated people so LE is not as interested in killing the hobby. They don't like SWs, but will generally leave everything else alone. You will not get the selection of an ATL though.

Yes, yes, the old clubs and the mps. Sorely missed. Some places on 8th ave you couldn't spit without hitting a mp.

I guess it is go to Atl, or B'ham or Huntsville for better.

And there was a legendary black club called the Mirage that was maybe one of the wildest clubs in the whole country. Sadly, they have all been closed by our good old boys in LE who have nothing better to do than protect us from ourselves. I wont lie-the clubs today basically SUCK and not in the good way.

Anthony's for ITC but they had a few nasty ancient looking hoes there the last time I visited. Ken's dayshift and maybe the Brass Stables at night. I would avoid Crazy Horse if you are looking for extras but it has some smoking hot lookers. Ken's night shift has some babes but maybe no extras. You can look at some of our older posts about Christie's and the other clubs. YMMV at all of them. None are really worth the admission anymore-sad but true.

Just spent a couple days in Nashville. A group of went to Crazy Horse and had a pretty good time. BYOB and $18 cover. Nice looking dancers and decent lapping.

Worth the time spent.
