Thanks for bringing back some wild and crazy memories. Unfortunately, the clubs in Memphis today are NOTHING like they were in the 80's and 90's. I'm really sorry some of the younger guys will likely never be able to enjoy how things used to be or really understand what some of us oldsters are bemoaning. During the 80's and 90's, the cities with the two best club scenes (Read wild, crazy, and uncontrolled.) were without a doubt Memphis and Tampa, FL. I won't regale you with all my stories from the clubs because that would be an epic novel but I will relay my first trip to Memphis from Tampa for work. I didn't know what to expect. Finished work early on a hot June weekday afternoon and stopped by one of Danny's places on Winchester called Super Chic's. Had no idea what to expect. There was no cover in the afternoon so I walked in from the bright sunshine just looking around and trying to get my eyes adjusted to the dim light. Standing, trying to make a decision on where to sit in an almost empty club, and this tall gorgeous, blonde walked up to me, started rubbing my cock through my pants and asked me if I wanted a blow job! What a shame! I wish I knew two numbers. 1) How many dollars the clubs generated in their heyday for the Memphis economy from out of town businessmen and tourist that came here on purpose just because of the clubs. 2) How much money the Purple Palace generated for both the owners and the girls. Guarantee #1 probably started with a "B" handle and #2 was several hundred million. Wonder if the city fathers considered this in there relentless pursuit to do good?

So thanks again Toasty for the memories of things that will never be again but will be etched in a lot of our minds for ever.

My last couple visits to the Gold Club have been disappointing. The club has been slow the girls haven't been especially friendly the overall experience has been blah even on the weekend nights. The Pony has never been one of my favorite places but it seems to be on the upswing lots of positive energy the last couple visits there.
