The reopening of the forum coincides with a recent story that bears telling and should serve as a good reminder to all of us who see a provider on someone's recommendation.

I travel a good bit for work and have a few trusted masseuses that I see. All give pretty good massages and all like to make sure their clients leave happy, if the client doesn't do something to creep the girl out or otherwise make her feel unsafe.

Right before the board shut down, a member of another city board (whose handle I recognized but I don't know him personally) asked for a massage recommendation in that city. I happen to have a trusted provider there and sent him her name. I told him to be nice to her and be cool and he would likely leave happy.

First know this -- if I give you a recommendation it's because I know that the provider says it's ok to give recommendations. Second, I am going to tell the provider about the recommendation, so as to make an introduction and perhaps make your path to happiness a little easier. What I will NOT do is vouch for you, unless of course I do know you personally. In other words, it's up to you to act right so the session goes the way you want it to.

After the appointment the client PMs me to tell me he was disappointed. The masseuse acted "weird" and "skittish" and left him draped and unhappy. I apologized and of course said YMMV. I then contacted the masseuse who told me that she was sorry but that she had shut it down because the client has pressed her for specifics about what acts she would perform and what she wouldn't. No apology necessary, of course, as we know that's not cool.

Again, folks. Just be cool. Particularly if another member has said the girl is worth seeing. The environment ain't the greatest for our hobby right now, and folks are more cautious. Be cool. Be friendly. Don't be weird. Give her a compliment.

Two months ago I saw the Italian whatever her name is. I spent about $.60 with her. Great time with her, great rub, great finish and decent conversation throughout. I will repeat with her if time ever permits again. The only downside is cleanup if I haven't trimmed the hedges.
