I'm not saying that I don't believe you. I'm just saying that everyone and anyone can claim to get tested. They can also provide fake test results. I've never heard of a service provider letting a client know "By the way, I have Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Herpes, and possibly HIV." That would be bad for business. Again, it's the client's responsibility (speaking as a client myself) to be responsible and protect themselves, and that includes not being delusional and lying to oneself that health or STD status has anything to do with how someone looks or where they come from. A librarian who has had only one sex partner can have STD's. A SW who has had hundreds can be clean. There's no way to know. That's why we have condoms.

(That, and to prevent pregnancy and the ensuing child support requirements that exist even if you paid for the sex. Don't forget about that, guys.)

I have had yahoo and gmail both and have never had a problem with sending or receiving messages on either. Messages do occasionally but NOT often end up in my spam folder in gmail but I've learned to check it before I do final delete.

I think it really depends more on your server and not necessarily your mail account.
I do however have regular problems with my yahoo IM no matter what type of server I'm using.

Actually, the problem with Gmail and Hotmail is that you will not KNOW that you are not receiving messages - the person sending the e-mail has no way to let you know that the e-mails they send you are bounced back to them because, well, they all get bounced back to them.

I've never heard of a problem SENDING e-mails from Yahoo! or Gmail unless one is sending a lot of messages.

However, the problem discussed here has NOTHING whatsoever to do with your server. Web-based e-mail is completely independent of your server and has nothing to do with it. In fact, the Gmail messages that get bounced back to the sender who happens to be using Yahoo! clearly state that their e-mail is suspected as spam, even though they are responding to YOUR request for more information in their ad. Also, any e-mail with reference to Craigslist will often be bounced back if sent to Gmail as well.

You can search this issue on any search engine on these issues and find plenty of complaints from other people. The conflicts between Yahoo!, Hotmail, and Gmail have been going on for more than ten years and they still do not seem to have resolved it.

Ok, so here's the problem with your claim that you are tested monthly. Hiv can be dormant for up to six months and not show up on tests. This means that if you are tested and come up negative, you need to not have any sexual contact for at least six months and get tested again before you will know with relative certainty that you are truly hiv-negative. Seriously.

I'm in agreement with you though, it is the male's responsibility to be intelligent enough and demand protection (or even make sure he brings his favorite kind so he knows it fits, etc.)

It would be nice if the service provider was prepared, but a responsible man will take measures to protect himself regardless. (I always do.) I don't even accept BBBJ's becuase of the risk of gonorrhea that exists with unprotected oral sex.

If you use gmail or hotmail sometimes her replies to you get bounced back.
