So last night, I hit Broadway in Camden just as it got dark and I swear I saw more police cars than hookers. The level of talent was not only sparse but disgusting. You can be seen only so many times by the same cop before you start to look like you might be doing some illegal so in frustration, I headed across the bridge to see what K Avenue nightlife might hold in store for me.

K Avenue was bustling, must have been 10 for every one SW in Camden. After a look at the sections, I settled on Danielle, a 27 year old spinner who I suspect was very good looking before she entered the hobby. On our way to the spot, we conversed about her personal history which included a 4 year tour of duty on the very same Broadway that I just abandoned. So I posed the logical question, "how did Broadway become such a waste land in the past few years while K Avenue continues business as usual?" In just her opinion, she thought the increased police presence on Broadway has chased the whole scene off the streets into the internet, and in her case, over to K Avenue. Not to suggest she is right or an expert, but it holds merit.

Kensington has lots of 24 hour stores that remain open to sell people food and drug paraphernalia. Kensington has the EL train that serves to transport people without transportation in and out of Kensington and the EL also serves as cover for the homeless during inclement weather.

Kensington is located in a residential area that actually has a underground market that caters to people who come to the area to buy and use drugs. You need a room to rent daily / weekly / monthly no problem. You need a room to rent for the hour no problem.

Kensington also has the OK obviously from the higher ups in the city to allow a certain amount of crime / drugs to go on. Last I knew they just let what goes on in Kensington to keep it contained in Kensington. If they start coming down on drug addicts and dealers it will just go somewhere else in the city which is what you don't want especially if it goes into tourist areas or upper middle class areas.

I see her all the time but I never picked her up because I was leery of her. One clue was she is always around a bunch of younger men (wearing ski mask) who look rather intimidating. She stands in view of the guys who are clearly keeping watch of her.

I'd like to ad that I was with her a few weeks ago and parked in my spot. Everything went fine but when we were finished she jumped out right at my spot neat Aramingo. A guy pulled up maybe 30 seconds later and she jumped in and left. I know with google maps installed you can let anyone track your location.

The fact that she told me take your time while I was pulling my stuff together, then the dude yelled at me and chased me for nothing, can tell that they are up for no good. Freaked me out. Still feel lucky that I got out of the situation.

Found Taylor walking along the bike path part of the road, her hair shorn short.
