I'll put it more simply, since you seem so insistent on proving my point:

Using people's preferred pronouns isn't butchering English, but your refusal to do so is, ironically.

To be clear, I have never and will never use TNA to get services. Just because I think their behavior as a business is logical doesn't mean I condone that kind of brute-force censorship in pursuit of continued profits. I also give no fucks about calcifer specifically. I've never interacted with them at all, and after looking at their posts I have no desire to. That doesn't mean their gender identity isn't valid.

Jesus, you're as bad as they are. Just skimming and thinking you understand what a poster is trying to say and completely not getting it. My defense of gender-neutral pronouns might be general white-knighting, but what takes more balls, speaking up or whining about the world changing?

I'm going to say this once and keep it really simple so you can understand, soy boy. I'm more than willing to use someone's preferred pronouns if I'm dealing with him / her / they / zhe / zher or any of the 70-some pronouns that have been invented in the last ten years, directly. The problem I have is trying to force an entire community of 10,000 people to monitor their language when referring to providers in general on a site. That, dummy, is tyranny, plain and simple. And if I had known that this person was who "they" said "they" were, I would have never seen "them. " Why? Because I see women, period. You can go ahead and bow down to this if you so wish, I choose not to. You know nothing about me. You know nothing about me except for this one post, yet you claim that you can label me as something. That makes you weak. Transphobia indicates that someone is afraid or hates trans people. That is not the case. And, yes moron, if someone is able to interact, befriend, and respect people of a certain group, it is a very good indication that he or she isn't phobic of that group, no matter what far left media has programmed you to believe. My problem is with the language, and I've told people that, and it's met with a "that's understandable." Now go away and eat your soy.

I'm as gay tolerant as people get, I'm happy to address somebody however they wish to be addressed. To be clear, if we take the original post that brought this on, the TNA user will interject themselves into every post even if it does not pertain to them to pointedly remind the poster that not all the providers on the board are women and should refer to all providers as gender neutral. If you hypothetically made a post looking for a female provider and they came in stating that there are more then female providers and that you might be transphobic, it is going to change the narrative.

No one argued that their gender identity is invalid, I've seen Calcifer multiple times in Portland, but going into every single fucking topic going, geNDER IS A SOcIAl CONStrucT aND You aRE ofFEndinG TRAnS PROViDers, immediately putting the poster on the defensive, where they can apologize or defend themselves is not an overall good look.

Absolutely agree with most of this, but my vitriol wasn't directed in defense of this person in particular. Taking every opportunity to grandstand exclusivity is alienating and inappropriate in that context. I'm standing up for the use of new language to adapt to the changing times. In particular, the refusal to use those pronouns at all is on of the biggest red flags for transphobia. I think maybe you got that part. The point you missed was, let me say it again:

LOL, it is interesting that someone like that would even post here considering this forum is absolutely reviled by a large part of the TNA provider community to even some of them publicly stating they would never see a hobbyist that posts here.

I agree that the white knighting on TNA is out of control, and the Adkins there is totally corrupt, but what do you expect when the only source of income is the providers? If that were my cash cow I would take the word of the people who were paying me over the people who were benefiting from my service for free every time. I personally don't use TNA for exactly this reason. What's the point if you can spend years and thousands of dollars building community trust and then have your rep completely trashed by one provider willing to lie in an alert?

That being said, the use of "they" as a neutral singular pronoun is the result of English being intrinsically gendered. For the entire time English has been around it has adapted to the needs of the people who are using it. It has rules we break all the time, and if those rules are broken by enough of the people enough of the time then we change the rules. The oxford comma is a good example of that. So if you respect the language then adapt your usage of it, that's a good part of why it's such an amazing language in the first place. If "they" now also can refer to a singular person without specifying male or female then so be it.

As far as your transphobia goes, having trans friends doesn't make you automatically not transphobic. Holding on to some myth of linguistic purity in order to avoid referring to people by their culturally accepted pronouns is essentially outing yourself as transphobic. When you can accept other people's gender identities and adjust to how that changes things without throwing a fit and getting offended about having to actually adapt, then you can rethink that.

I don't really know where to put this so I will start with a post here.

I think about half the ladies I have seen look nothing like their pictures. In most cases, the pictures are 10+ years out of date and the girl is now significantly heavier or drug damaged or baby damaged or something. However, she still presents herself as a 'tight young spinner' or some such nonsense and tries to charge $300 or $400 per hour. That is bad, but it gets worse. People leaving reviews on these ladies then say she matches her pictures, which can only happen if you are blind with no tactile sensation. I am not necessarily saying some of these women are not still attractive, some of them are and some of them of them are not, but they are not what they are advertising and they are not being called on it. That means when you meet them you are in for a surprise, and many times very unpleasant.

I am not sure what to do here. One option is to simply leave when a girl does not look like her picture. Unfortunately I consider this rude and have had a hard time doing it so far even though I think it is completely justified.

Another, maybe better option, is to perhaps to start a truth in picture thread. Perhaps post women who are using outdated or not their own pictures.

Any better options?

As you know the 5 star reviews and lack of complaints about pictures are to avoid getting blasted and retaliatory alerts so yes start that thread I'll contribute. I think some pics are very old and some are recent but a filter makes them much thinner. It distorts them so they're unrecognizable.

Yeah, I retired from TNA about a month ago. Completely, and utterly, done. I have my regulars whom I see who still post there, but its just gotten ridiculous. Calcifer used to be really cool. I saw her a few times, but she has completely lost it. I'm fine with her identifying however she wants, but the whole plural pronoun thing to me is completely offensive as someone who respects the English language. She's not a plural. She is singular. It's like using the royal "We. " Its bizarre, and she doesn't have any right to force people to use language that is both confusing and incorrect. And me not wanting to use incorrect language doesn't make me a "transphobe. " I completely respect an individual's right to make his or her choice about who they want to identify as. I've personally know people who have transitioned, and respected those peoples' decisions. Forcing everyone on that site to to not call providers by a female identifier is completely deranged and narcissistic.

Why is it that some show so much of attitude here while if you check their posts there are requests to share more info. Yes I am referring to one of your posts. - "Mind sharing how this arrangement works? So she lives with you now?"

No one can join here in a day and become a senior. It takes its pace. Especially in these times.

When I joined here, I shared about 4-5 reviews in one post.

That said, a lot of senior members have helped so much in PMs, and it feels good to that way.

But some just end up showing so much of an attitude.

I used to see Calcifer when she went by HopelessHeathen. Really nice girl and exceptionally well priced for her services, but now every single post on that board she comes in on will always correct the pronouns of the guy posting it. Every time a dude generalizes all providers as female she comes in and interjects with her pronouns. It is pretty insane now. There is not a lot of truth in advertising on TNA anymore with reviews negative reviews disappearing with the provider usually retaliating with an alert of her own which stays up but the negative review comes down.
