Today at the freeway on ramp. There was a sign flyer. Sitting beside the road was his girlfriend. I got to she was quite hot. It was so tempting to ask her if she wanted a place to go and stay. That guy cannot offer her shit and she should be able to get at least taken care of. Anyone tried this before. Just makes me wonder what the Hell she is doing with him. Anyway. I wonder is she is for rent either. Who knows. Interesting thought. Anyone else have any good stories.

AMP, I have seen these people; and yes the same thought has crossed my mind. I wouldn't make a move though unless she had a stiff piece of cardboard and the ink was freshly put on the sign. I once saw a very attractive woman on the east side with a sign that said, "Husband just left – a kid at home – no job – help!" I came 'this close' to inviting her to live with me. On the other hand, professional sign holders will have beat up / creased, thrashed old ass signs that appear months or even years old. I won't waste my time with these con artists.















This was the scene at NE Hassalo and 82 at about 7:50 this evening. I have very few rules; but one of my pet peeves is when a potential passenger is attempting to hail a cab with a shitload of open food in their arms. Can you imagine the mess all this chow would make in your vehicle?

This may look bad, but I've seen much worse. A few weeks ago I saw a working girl walking near Fremont with a carry-on rolling Samsonite suitcase, backpack, duffel bag, and a gallon jug of chocolate milk. Unfortunately I did not have my camera; otherwise I would have taken a photo. I believe she goes by the name of Kelly if I am not mistaken.

Occasionally I find a SW I particularly like, however taking them home and taking "care " of them, nope. How healthy is that? Look at the whole picture. We spend a lot time and money chasing it. They spend what we pay rarely on rent or food. On our part, the game may not be a total addiction, just an occasional pastime, an itch that needs to be scratched. Sometimes not. In my youth I would say I had no self control. I try to be realistic about the philosophy / morality of this pastime. I've met women of all stripes out there. An accountant, a nurse, professionals, people who by the roll of dice happen to be addicts. Way back I used to run into women who just liked the thrill of doing this, sex addicts. Nowadays, it's mostly women who just happen to be drug addicts, some might be trashy or ignorant without being addicts, and some who just happen to be addicts. None who do this for fun. Not going to stop doing this, just sayin, taking someone in as a social worker project is not healthy.

Just as a reminder, rent is due on the 1st and late on the 5th. Due to this equation, we see many new faces on the strolls and less taxi drivers with a spendable bank roll; alas, quadruple the SW traffic. Clearly the phenomenon pictured here is the "Darwinian Effect of Avid Streetwalking".

A similar phenomenon was once published in a study which concluded that streetwalkers who DON'T offer bareback services were more likely not to be picked up. Therefore, more likely to be noticed by LE. Hence, streetwalkers who use rubbers are more likely to be arrested by police. I have my doubts about the accuracy of such a study, however I have heard that any woman with greater than average attractiveness walking down the street with 3 or more condoms is automatically a prostitute in Portland.

This was the scene at 82 and Halsey (near the Max Station) today (9/2) at around 3:00pm. This is not the same Jennifer from last night's series but is the same Jennifer who commandeered some of the contents of my tip jar when I was not paying attention.

I drove the taxi around NW for a little over an hour until about 11:15pm searching for any sign of intelligent life. The only indication was near the Panda Express near 18th and West Burnside. Sorry for the blurry photos.

The NW was quite a stroll up until a year or so ago. It appears lately to have met the same fate as MLK and perhaps most of Sandy Blvd to my surprise; but on occasion you run into an occasional hold out trying to take advantage of the desolate conditions. But when I do pick up a passenger in those parts the girls complain at the lack of taxis in the area; having to wait for over an hour at times, creating perhaps a 'chicken or the egg' argument.

Taxi, you are correct. I did some research and Oregon has far more restrictive laws on this subject than I am used to. Audio-only recording in this situation is out. Video seems to be a grey area but would be difficult to pull off in this situation. I imagine an obvious video recorder would make a SW run and LEO will tell you to put it away or give you shit about video taping him / her. I'm going to look further into the legality / admissibility of hidden or not-too-obvious video recorders.

Mr. Penis, have you thought about setting the video on the lowest possible video setting (mine says MMS) and / or just pointing the camera toward the ceiling in your car? Or you can attach the phone to the visor. I don't believe that statues addresses people who have lousy aim (or just shitty cameras) when they are filming a documentary. Admissible or not, I don't know if a prosecutor will go to trial against someone who is factually innocent (given any video that you produced vindicated you) but on the other hand if your video incriminated you, that would be a different issue.

Here was the scene near 82 and Klickitat at about 7:15 or so tonight (8/29). The black and white photos were from 8/3; you can tell this is the same person by carefully comparing the purse in both photos. What I was amazed at was at the rate this woman (whom I am hereby nicknaming "Hermiston Melons" from this point forward) is growing her hair. At first I thought this was a really nefarious wig she was wearing; but I have been known to be wrong from time to time. Upon further inspection I have arrived at the theory that Hermiston Melons is obviously suffering from ultra high levels of estrogen (meaning she's pregnant).

Wow. Was out last night and there was a lot of traffic on North 82nd. I mean a lot of traffic. The section between the top of the hill and to Sandy was full of a lot of people. There were some girls that looked way too good to be true. One blonde in particular who I avoided because she was hanging out with two dudes at one point.

I picked up a brunette that was super cute. She said she normally advertises on Backpage as Alexandra or something like that. Very nice. Asked for. 7 for half-and-half. Found a spot and got down to business. Service was a little rushed but her body was nice.

Does she have purple hair?

Here was the scene yesterday afternoon at 82 and Fremont. It appears he has added a new member to his ever increasing entourage. This goes to show that a fresh shirt and a shower can do wonders.





















There is also an increased LE presence in this area near the top of the hill as you describe, Alan. About a month ago LE presence in that area was desolate. Last week I saw Jolene (from Kings Row Update series) getting busted near the methadone clinic. LE had all of her belongings strung across the sidewalk. I wouldn't be surprised to see a sting operation in that area sometime soon.
