Aga's has closed its doors for good, as they recently sold their liquor license to a North End restaurant venture.

I never went in Aga's, but I did do a "drive-by / walk up" to talk myself out of a visit 10 years ago. My only interest in Aga's was in the Alexopoulos's family's battle with the city of Boston and my fascination that "one" family owned and operated the ultimate dive bar (near Dudley Station) since 1947. Aga's continued to operate as a business entity until 2021, despite the owner's death in 2003. The city never stopped trying to shut them down. The drink scam and what was offered behind those doors had no appeal to me and I have no regrets in not visiting Aga's (then or now). So if I read it correctly, Aga's had an appraised value of $5700 in 2021. I'm thinking they might make more than that for the sale of that shithole.

Gigi (Aga's older brother) owned Alex's in Stoughton from 1968 until his death in 2018. As I recall, Gigi converted his club to adult entertainment in 1970. Aga converted his club to adult entertainment in 1979. I've been a willing customer in Stoughton (over the years) and will always respect the "underdog" in their fight to remain a profitable business venture in an alleged morality battle with their community.

That placed absolutely sucked. I'm sure it was a big thing back in the 80's /90's and it was the place to be if you wanted to see beautiful African-American women. Last I went there was back in 2000's and it was a ghost town. Too many liberals now moving in around that area and the last thing they want to see is tits and pussy. They made the right move.

Liberals have nothing to do with it. Property values have skyrocketed and capitalism has taken it's course.

Remembering the days when strip clubs was actually fun to go to. Lots of women, men having a great time, ladies were coming (GF and wives). Great drinks, food and entertainment. Now, it's such a sorry state that it's not even worth the gas to drive. Just to get yourself some release will cost you 500+ clams.

Can't blame Covid as it was like that before the pandemic. Soon, we'll see less of these here. Would love to see how things are overseas. But, the term strip clubs is close to extinct.

Was there recently mid afternoon. Huge place, weirdly deserted and dark. Only saw 4-5 dancers in a whole hour, only 1 white, rest AA or other. Blonde bartender honestly had the sexiest costume. Very weird also some girls started dancing on top stage but had zero lighting on them so essentially almost dancing in darkness.

Can't speak to extras but LD area is not very private IMO.
