I was in Niagara Falls this past week (came across the border the night before the crash yesterday) and was staying in a fallsview hotel. There was a girl seating people throughout my dinner at the hotel that was what I'd say cute but not a knockout by any means. This part caught my eye since it seems to indicate that the location was a motel and the door was in sight of an observation vehicle or they had someone inside a hotel just wandering around pretending to be a hotel occupant or part of the cleaning staff. Just another reason to always be aware of your surroundings.

Could be a hotel and the cops were in the room across the hall looking through a peephole. The evidence was all from the phone / text conversations which got explicit re: acts for cash, which is all they need for the arrest.

I tend to avoid any ads which do not earn an are (or higher) rating. I know the cops can say whatever they want, which may translate into text in ads as well, but I think they can't show nudity in any way. Nipple, etc. Disclaimer. I'm not a lawyer and I don't know whether or not that is true.

The number of people who get hit by a car crossing the street is tiny.

The number that take precautions by looking both ways and getting hit is almost non-existent.

My argument is everything is a risk. And the risk is never 0. Everyone has to decide what level of risk is acceptable to them.

You can take all kinds of precautions to avoid risk, and still be adversely affected.
You cannot avoid risk.

How is that flawed?

You have to choose what risks are acceptable to you.

That is an obnoxiously ignorant counter-argument. If you exercise care, the chances of being hit and killed by a car are less than 1 in 500,000--again, if you take all the proper safety precautions! The average person will never come close to crossing the street that many times in a lifetime.
