Is the Man Cave still open? I drove by during daytime and there were no signs of life. If so, what are the hours or days they are open? Used to have a couple of familiar dancers who had been around awhile, and were very personable. Could actually carry on a conversation.

Well, yeah, I don't want to denigrate anyone--I guess I could say I felt like I didn't sync with Phoenix, but someone else might readily connect with her, especially if she's their type. The dance would've been a good value at $20.

I managed to visit IS on a recent weekend night. I had not been there in 15 to 20 years. Managed to find a parking spot for my motorcycle, paid $12 cover charge and about $5 for a pop (including tip). While there were three stages, just the main central stage was in use. I tried to get a lay of the land, especially seeking AA dancers of which there were two. However, a white petite spinner with A-cups, Phoenix, approached me for a dance. Not exactly my type, but I said sure.

Big mistake. I should've inquired about dance prices before heading to the back area with her. They were eye-watering: $35 for a topless dance? Yes, you're in a very private space, and Phoenix herself did a decent job, but it wasn't worth the cost. I cut my losses early and got back to the main seating area. I didn't see either of the AA dancers free and no one else was appealing. After awhile I just gave up (and subsequently headed to Jimmy's in Chicago Heights).

Will I go again? Only when the $10 special is being offered on Mondays, but between my odd work hours, the distance from home, and their relatively late opening hours (no day shift), it's often difficult or not worth it.

Regular dance prices are either 3 for 60 or 3 for 65 didn't you ask before the dance? What night did you go and what time? How crowded was the club? I've been finding that it is dead until about 10 pm.

Thank you, Moejoo. I visited late on a Friday night, around midnight, and I'll readily admit that I screwed up, despite having tons of strip club experience. I probably was still thinking about / recovering from my long motorcycle ride and wasn't as focused on my game as I should've been.

What happened was that I asked Phoenix about pricing after we had begun walking towards the back area (but hadn't yet arrived at the room). She did offer two dances for either $55 or $65, something like that, but I didn't want to blow that much of my budget on an unknown dancer. My typical routine is to start with one song unless I can sort of have a better "read" of the situation / dancer in which case I'm then comfortable with going for more at the outset.

Phoenix looked like a one-song sort of individual, for I was really hoping to get with one of the AA dancers. But it wasn't to be, at least at IS. I did get some more AA action later on (at Jimmy's), but my faux pas at IS (overpaying by $15) was a valuable reminder that served me well at a subsequent visit at Boogie Nights in Harvey, when I specifically asked each dancer upfront about their costs, which varied wildly between them (four price structures quoted by four dancers at Boogie Nights, with only one not approaching GPS levels of overcharging, which I'll post separately later this week). Live and learn!

I am coming though the area on this Monday and wondering which club I should visit. I was thinking of going to Fantasy or Industrial Strip.

It depends on what you're looking for if you want good grindage and an all together fun strip club trip like you'd see in the movies IS if you're searching for extras head down Route 20 to Temptations or Honey's but not scores or if you're smart just hit the boards for some "company" it'll cost you less in the long run.

Monday at IS is their bargain day, I think 10 dollar dances or something like that. I think they have a big lineup on Mondays. They are really different clubs, IS has changed over the years from almost being a brothel to now topless and good grinding but rare extras unless you come in often and become a trusted regular. In terms of looks IS girls are more like what you would see strippers looking like in movies, Fantasy girls look more like they can't find a job anywhere else. From what I have read extras are much harder to get at Fantasy than they used to be. I've never been to IS on a Monday but the rest of the time the girls don't really start to show up until 9.

DJ is the worst strip club in the entire area. If you want to try a club do Fantasy or Industrial Strip on a Saturday night. Probably no extras but you'll have way more physical contact.

I had some time to kill and I decided to make my first visit to a club over the weekend. Ended up at Deja Vu Dreamgirls. I'm not a big drinker or smoker so I felt this would be the best choice for me. Made my way in and took care of the cover charge. Didn't know that you got free pops so that was a surprise. Reading the forum gave me a good idea on how things worked. Just didn't know what to expect.

I was there about 9:30 Saturday and there weren't many dancers around. A few where speaking with who I assumed were regulars and maybe friends? There were a few dancers on stage. Nothing spectacular that stood out.

First dancer that approached me was Charlotte, tall spinner type with blue hair. I took her up on her offer of a dance. Went back to the booth. She got undressed and really got into it. Let me touch all over except chest and downstairs. But she gave a pretty lap dance for the one song.

Second dancer that approached me as Layla. I would say that she was probably one of the better looking dancers on the floor. Went back to the booth and got going. She didn't seem to be into it as much as Charlotte was. Let me do some roaming but was very limited. Decided to only do one song with her.

At this point, I had time for one more dance and that would be with Sierra, taller white dancer with a nice rack and booty. Got back to the booth. Started to do some roaming and she told me that she only allows that with people she knows or if you get more than one dance. Decided to let her do her thing and sit back and enjoy. She really got into it as well.

Not sure if this is the norm. But 3 different experiences with 3 different dancers. Finished the third dance and had to get out the door. Walked away giving up about. 75 after the cover, tips on stage, and the 3 dances. I may make a repeat visit in the future if I'm in the area and I have some time to kill.

I've searched the whole Indiana forum and subforums and found no mention of this place. I'm wondering why.

Because Voodoo lounge isn't a strip club. Don't walk in there at any given time and expect to see strippers because you'll be disappointed.

Also, a "trap" day just means it'll be hood folks. The "trap" is the inner city drug game. A trap star is someone who is famous in the hood.

Couldn't agree more! This is a hip hop event venue. Many of the performances by local rap artists include dancers for visual effect. Yes they are shaking their stuff while wearing little to nothing, but they are not there for lap dances or private time. It is common for a patron or several to "make it rain" for them, but that's the extent.
