The strip clubs have done a poor job of reacting to the increased competition by trying to think of something they can offer no one else can. A strip club now probably looks about the same as the ones thirty years ago. There has been no evolution in the business with changing times. Most strip clubs don't even have a decent website that they update regularly.

In some of the larger cities, the clubs with a LOT of money behind them have done a little better, positioning themselves as sports bar / strip clubs or steak house / strip clubs. Dallas has done an especially good job of doing this. Their clubs are still packed to the gills night after night. Even the onese in shitty areas still seem to do ok, but that's probably due to the fact that you get a lot of bang (literally) for your buck. Same in south Florida. You can be fucking a hot Cuban girl with store bought American titties within a few minutes of walking in the door, and it's really pretty easy.

Completely agree with the online part. As for Harem, PTs and Babes and the restaurants in the Lawrence area, that all has more to do with Ft Ben and it's loss of military members stationed there than anything else. The investment into those clubs just don't make sense when the majority of quality military customers disappeared.

I few days ago I stopped by Rio mid afternoon. When I first walked in, while my eyes were still adjusting to the dark room there was a blonde with a huge rack getting her clothes back on next to the stage. As I found a seat a beautiful tall black girl walking past me. She was hot. Then a very cute small black girl was on stage for 3 songs. She was hot. Not sure that younger guys' libidos have given way to sitting around with thoughts of self determinism and Minecraft. My money's on the fact that with a couple of clicks, they can have guaranteed semi anonymous hookups through any of a number of dating sites. They can accomplish in a few messages back and forth what used to take us hours or mulitple nights at singles bars trying to somehow distinguish ourselves from the dozens of other horny drunks like ourselves.

Rather than trying to get customers to come back, the club management and strippers try to think of various ways to squeeze a few more bucks out of them. For example, last Saturday I did lap dances with two girls at Brad's. After the dances, when I handed them what I owed them both of them said "give me more money". I think the tip should be up to the customer and I don't see why they would think I would come back if I'm being ordered around like that. Instead of my usual weekend strip club trip, my plan for tonight is to watch a couple of movies on tv at home while eating popcorn. I'm sure it will be a more pleasant Saturday night than the one last week.

I was a regular at Brad's for 20 years or more. I used to know most of the girls by name and they knew me. I quit going a couple of years ago for the exact reasons you state. I now hear they scan your license to get in. Not me they won't!

To me with scanning and the lack of interest by many of the dancers, it is now just a simple risk / reward case.

Pretty disappointing scene. Don't expect much. If you must, dancers is ok. Decent girls usually, non smoking, safe enough area.
