Same as not understanding why anyone would fall for the plethora of Pfishing and other internet and phone scams. Some victims are indeed just stupid, but most of us are vulnerable to getting ripped off in one way or another. I think about loaning money to a friend or relative with their promise to pay it back and then never hearing from them again.
